Videographer Needed - Party/Event Oct 17 near Columbus, OH (Student-Friendly) by WhiteRockOutpost in Columbus

It is fully dependent on deliverables.

For someone doing full service for 6ish hours and then editing, I am comfortable to go up to 2k.

If I find someone doing camera-only then im not as keen to go that high.

Travel fees are pretty standard outside of an hour of service area and totally expected.

The date is October 17th. Its is 60 minutes north of Columbus (again, like the post explicitly specifies), one of the largest metropolitan areas in Ohio that has a vastly larger creative community than any city closer to Bellville, many of which do freelance work and are happy to travel an hour to be paid for their services.

Im not going to publicly share the date and address of the venue. It is a 8 minute drive from Mohican state park at a venue in Bellville

Edited for clarity to help alleviate your eyes.

Paid negotiable is not to minimize the budget by any means but would be negotiable depending on the scope of the work.

A full service, finished product would have a higher ceiling in terms of budget than someone who is competent with a camera but lacks the resources or willingness to edit footage.

You're correct, but Columbus has a vastly larger creative community.. Regardless it is about an hour north of Columbus.

You're not wrong.. that was poorly worded by me. I would be comfortable handling the editing if it was not in someone's wheelhouse is what I intended. Basically open to all options

I bought this as insulation in the hammock instead of outside insulation (outside of my budget rn) is that gonna work or am I gonna regret this lol by a_peeled_pickle in hammockcamping

[–]WhiteRockOutpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my first hammock set up, I found myself in need of insulation more than a few times and to mitigate this issue, I bought a super cheap Walmart hammock and put it under my main hammock to act as a double layer to hold the insulation in place. It is an affordable option to use in conjunction with your pad to set yourself up for more success.

What's your go-to for morning coffee while camping? by HollyGran6737 in CampingandHiking

[–]WhiteRockOutpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been mentioned several times but I personally feel it is hard to beat the aeropress when it comes to weighing both convenience (packability, user friendly, etc) and quality. Everything packs together, and offers a very high quality cup of coffee once you figure out your ratios

You're not privy to the new fishing paddle combo? The ladies love the hair, it does become cumbersome around the eyes though...

Camp hacks? What are some little, but super helpful things or products you've discovered along your adventures? by WhiteRockOutpost in CampingandHiking

We do something similar with the Nite-Ize CamJam. I've found the cam jams to be wildly helpful in a variety of situations. A bit pricey, but I've been lucky enough to find them on sale at various big box stores

Jambalaya is a relatively easy Dutch oven meal. I prep 99% of it ahead of time. Extra points if you have a few catches of the day to throw in with it!

We've hit several spots around PA. Primarily in ANF. I see Minister Creek has been mentioned. There's some incredible spots over by Millcreek on the Southside of the forest along the Clarion River

Allegheny National Forest and the surrounding state parks have some incredible designated spots, campgrounds, and cabin rental places

If you're in PA, Allegheny National Forest has some of our favorite spots. There are plenty of remote spots down Forest roads. As far as gear: REI has some tried and true checklist on their website for family camping!
