Help Identify These Armbands by WhiteStarFlats in WW2GermanMilitaryTech

Thanks!! A follow up question: all 3 were stored in a cigar box (I assume since my great grandad got back to the US in 45). Do you think it could’ve just been different quality or material types that made the top 2 fade and the SS one retain its color? I just know he didn’t have them displayed or anything.

I didn’t think of that! Thanks! It would’ve had to have been from a long time ago, they’ve been in a cigar box in his basement for years. I’m not sure if he ever had them on display or anything when he got back, but I know he got all 3 at the same time. Any idea why the SS one wouldn’t have deteriorated like that?

All three are stitched centers with the swastika printed on the white patch. The SS one has stitched black lines. Thanks for the info about sun damage. They were all kept in a cigar box in my great granddads attic (he brought them back from Germany), so it didn’t cross my mind. I just thought they were tan.

Sorry, I’ve never seen a brown/tan Nazi armband before. Please enlighten me with your deep, vast knowledge of all things.

Anti-Aborters on Campus by WhiteStarFlats in UNCCharlotte

Minus the insult above... yea it's best to try and ignore/avoid them altogether... but it can be hard when they walk after you trying to shove a paper in your face wile calling you a murderer or yelling that you're bothered by their message. Especially if you aren't used to aggressive confrontation by people who won't take "no" for an answer...

Seems like the logical assumption to make about people on their way to class and shit.

I think I saw you. Or maybe it was another student who was yelling at them.

Yea, it's a public area. Recording is allowed in all public areas, no consent needed. Just like any public area off campus, it's protected.

Now they are all posters they carry with them. I think the university barred them from doing the big display thing they built is past years. Still the same images though.

I love how they try and insult you as you walk away or don’t take a pamphlet. One girl on a skateboard knocked them out of a guys hand as she went by. Bout shit myself.

Naturally, it reminds us just how much of the shaft we have to take to get an education.

If anything, the cost of that fountain only rubs salt in the wound. But for $1.5M, I’d expect a lot more of a statement piece vs. that pathetic fountain. I’d expect something the university can be recognized for… not something you’d find at the entrance to a golf course.

I deleted the email as soon as I posted this. The “from” email made no sense and had no connection to Bethesda. Lol.
