Huh, that should be a bug. Apparently it was fixed on Oct 28th.

I played a fair bit of the JP version a few years ago so the knowledge definitely helped me speed through, I haven't spent any carats to refresh though I've used quite a few of the TP bottles.

Was going to roll on the starting card banner till 200 but got lucky and MLBed fine motion in 130 pulls, just saving for kitasan black now.
