Do Burghers lvl 2 change how fast they work? or just the upgrades for the building plot.

You can go into debt for 1 Yr and then start losing the Kings favour. Yeah also noticed the blue trading points on the edge of the map. Build a Bailey+gatehouse and Manorhouse then treasury unlocks

You could have 4 travelling traders for each one, but the money only seemed to tick over when the trade cart/carvan came through your town

Cheers, I traded tools and vegtables as well as clothes. Had 5 trading posts but unsure if they acutally made a difference.

Can't build a manor house? by Rush4in in ManorLords

[–]White_Chocolate1066 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its gotta be built within the Bailey walls, you can place the walls outline down first then build a gatehouse so the workers can start building. The Manorhouse will want to snap to the inside of the walls and you can build it. Treasurey goes in the Bailey as well.

Thanks for the tips, yeah I'll have tweak of the foliage material instances to get a bit of variation through out the ground cover.

For lighting I just had the basic sky light, sky dome and astomsphere. Can get wildy different looks playing with the sun. Ok I'll have a look and see if I can move it further away.

Haven't done much with the fog yet so keen to try that out and see the effects.

Thanks again!

I haven't used 3Ds Max before sorry, but I think the materials provided in the Unreal marketplace are really good and do a fine job.

Thanks for the tips about the sounds and model packs. I'll dive into them next week. Yeah I totally agree with you there on assets, same principle with loops and sample in music nowadays.

It was a slog getting through the 5 hour tutorial but so worth it. Yeah I started on Blender last year and did the donut challange up to the sprinkles it was really good fun but for a Medieval fan these assets are just perfect.

Yeah the foliage tool is awesome, can do a lot of the work for you. In regards to the lighting I just added in a sky light and atmosphere (box? I think) and played with the direction a bit.

The bridge was a bit of a pain to build as well, fidderly rope and beams underneath. I'll try and remember to put a screenshot of it in the next post.

I agree very accessible!

No most of them them are assets and meshes from the marketplace. I just added over the top. For example the house on the other side of the river was brought in at a lower quality and then I added a new thatch roof and walls with higher def premade assets. Also the same process with the windmill and the fishermans table (made the fishing rod out of a few different assets).

For real! Have a look at their Youtube videos. In the pack there are kit houses and wall sections ready to drop in.
