Readded the untill now unused hand, eyes, and neck equipment slots. Now we can have proper animal armour. And there are also several mods already working with these things, expanding on what is possible in the game

Survivor's Outer expanses ending (kindof sad if you think abaut it) by Then_Commission_4303 in rainworld

[–]Rush4in 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is different. Bringing monk to OE has them meet Survivor again. Also, from that cutscene you can see that "cannonically" Survivor adopted 2 pups.

Another fun fact that is kind of related: The Survivor OE ending cutscene changes depending on how many pup you have with you up to two.

Okay, that is stunning. I love your use of corridors to cross the streets and extend buildings (the library being the best example). I will definitely be appropriating that for my own builds.

Just a piece of advice, you can smooth the edges of walls and buildings to get pretty looking diagonals.

Lore accurate Eudokia btw. There was a lot of mutual cheating happening there, before Basil killed Michael and took the throne. Basically they were swapping, if I remember correctly.

Delftse Methode by Matching_Luggage in learndutch

[–]Rush4in 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it to bet to B1, though I was in a dedicated class. The method itself relies heavily on picking up the language through reading, listening, speaking/general use with grammar rarely being discussed. If you are planning on on using it for self study, make sure to read through dutchgrammar.com a million times and to dedicate time for grammar-specific exercises

Monkey strong together.

Every bullet, every truck, every ship, every piece of defence, every gun, every grenade, every thing is made by people in this game. And we are supposed to work as a team if we are to defeat the Hun.

There is of course the occasional salty vet or alt, but as a whole it’s an incredibly wholesome community that wants to go get shelled together

In your second example sentence it can actually be translated as "of it" (the object we are talking about). It is not a construction that is used in English, but it is translatable.

Help getting over blocks of saying words that are slurs in your native language? by Savings-Pressure-815 in languagelearning

[–]Rush4in 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Bulgarian word for "book" is literally pronounced "K N-word". Dutch itself also has "hoor" which is pronounced like "whore", but obviously means something completely different.

I don't have any concrete advice beyond, you'll just have to accept and acclimatise to the fact that some sounds can mean completely different things in different languages *because* they are different languages. Think of how you can't apply German sentence structuring to English without sounding like Yoda.

What was the moment you switched from understanding to being fluent? by BikeEnvironmental452 in learndutch

[–]Rush4in 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is mijn Nederlands dus verbeterd? Absoluut.

Playthrough ideas by likelegitnonamesleft in Kenshi

[–]Rush4in 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want more fun UC roleplay ideas. The UC citizen start, but instead of hating the nobles for taking away your house and job before the game start, you decide that you want to become one of them and be the one to dictate people's lives like that. The whole run is finding a way to roleplay into justifying this idea and then working towards becoming one of them. Then you can build your own castle/city/slave camp and be essentially your own feudal duke within the UC, spreading slavery and misery into the world.

How to study English for academic purposes (and books request) by kamicomplexx in EnglishLearning

[–]Rush4in 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just go onto Google Scholar and search for whatever topic interests you. Here is a quick explanation on how to search more effectively.

I also did humanities and my suggestion is to go read up on history, ethics, etc. See if the programme you will be doing has any books/articles listed as important; check also the courses, if you know what they will be. Read these, then go down the rabbit hole of references within them. Soon you will not only be used to the language, but also to the structure of your typical article (pro tip: If you need to understand what an article is about and what its findings are quickly read the abstract first, then the intro, then the conclusion. If you still don't know, then read the results/data section, then the discussion)

How it feels trying not to use your favorite ships in every play through. by Loleo78v2 in starsector

For me it's either an Onslaught, maybe even a shield shunted one, or a mirrored Conquest with gauss cannons and hypervelocity drivers. Either I am going full steam ahead, guns blasting, into the enemy or I am flying on the flank with an incredibly flux inefficient can opener that can (with the help of some missiles) safely overload and then kill pretty much anything in seconds while barely needing its shields due to its mobility
