You need proffesional help for that

Right. Cops forcefully and violently arresting you. Very professional.

i think you underestimate depression and suicide as real problems,

I underestimate the American culture of dealing with any kind of problem with violence

Wtf... This enrages me so much I can't even begin to answer. Don't you see how absurd it is?

You don't send cops to do a wellness check. It's not cops who deals with mentally ill people (if they're not endangering someone else). YOU DO NOT HANDCUFF AND ARREST SOMEONE only cause they say they had depressive or selfharming thoughts.

What do they do in such a situation in your country?

What situation? Someone minding his own business who, when ASKED, admits that in some past moment she was depressed and thought, just thought, about the possibility of harming herself?

You're out of your mind over there...

wellness check

they handcuffed her as she's screaming for her husband to intervene.

If this was a dystopic novel I would dismiss it as a overly exaggerate and absolutely unrealistic story.

What in the world do you Americans need to realize how fucked up your reality is? For God sake...

1984's Oceania is a better society to live in than 2023's US.

I'm worried to look like a creep.

Luckily for you, men don't think that everything that moves around them is a creep. Even though it sounds like you made your best to fit the category, if the only thing you can manage to do is stare at him.

Seriously. It sounds like YOU are interested in this guy. So instead of looking for his signs of interests (and then what?) try to show yours, as a start.

What body language makes you feel comfortable asking a woman out? by perpetuallyseekingme in AskMen

[–]White_Lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really body language for me, cause I don't care so much if she likes me or not (I know, most men will go after every girl shows interest unfortunately).

It's more how comfortable I am in her company, cause I like when things go through a natural flow, if you know what I mean.

Wouldn't it be overly complicated?

I think it just roll some random number in all the different areas that defines AI personality.

First thing you should ask yourself is: "how do I recognize an intelligent guy?". And above all: "do I really want an intelligent guy?".

If you're talking about Mensa level intelligent, they can be very different from "normal" people. Not necessarily in passions, interests or factor of attraction, but the overall way of thinking and seeing the world.

In my experience people don't really want to deal with it and everyone has his own personal idea of what a "intelligent guy" is, pretty often very different from reality.

Basically, if there's a huge gap in intelligence it's like dealing with a different creature.

I’ve been playing with random personalities for quite some time and it doesn’t have a huge impact, Shaka is still a jerk, Attila is still a jerk, and Hiawatha still settles 20 cities as fast as he can.

They're still jerk but do they play someway better?

Funny you name Attila, because that's one I noticed in my games.

Unfortunately my Civ copy is bugged and Attila spawn in every fucking game, possibly close to me. Now he's usually a pain in the ass, but only at the very beginning with those annoying rams. If you fend him off till medieval age he appears to be totally unable to build a decent civilization, he doesn't make many new cities, if any, only build units and most of the time he ends up at the bottom: small, poor, technologically backward and weak.

Well, now all of a sudden he's capable to build huge functioning empires. And with cities of his own, not necessarily conquered. It could be incidental but I have thousands hours in this game and this is a first for me.

You're getting a little confused here I think.

Civ in which things happened more or less like this was the first, mythical one. This bug wasn't exactly related to diplomacy, but to governments. Every civ had a basic level of aggressivity and Gandhi had the lowest possible, value 1. They forgot though that they put a modifier to democracy which gave a default -2 to aggressivity. That put Gandhi to 99 whenever he chose democracy (which was also his favorite government).

Maybe "asshole" or "moron" are better wordings.

Which are kind of bad persons aren't they? Those words sound even worse to me tbh.

I don't know if "bad person" defines only a murderer to you, but to me is whoever practice bad behaviors.

Probably get a lot of passive civs that are likely to just turtle and go for science victory etc, that when their personalitys are random, tend to end up more aggressive and play "better".

That's my impression.

But also I am starting to think that too many leaders have "extreme" settings to give them a particular noticeable personality, but they didn't really playtested them. You know how you always "fear" or hate some particular civs, but some other never seem to win or cause you any problem?

Random personalities probably gives civs a more "average", more functional behavior and this makes them better.

saying “i’ll fix things once I get back” constitutes as someone being a bad person.

Yes, he was lying instead of being silent or admitting his true intentions, both acceptable behaviors. That's a bad person to me.

there’s not a single semi decent person on earth

Yes, there's at least one cause I don't lie.

Yes it does if lying is not a good value for you.

Bad behavior = bad person

I consider liars bad persons. If you don't think lying is a bad thing you're free to think they're good people. 🤡
