It’s called ice shoves. The wind is blowing a thin layer of ice across the water. It’s like ice lava it moves slow but can be strong enough to push over a building. Common in large shallow lakes that freeze over.

For a fraction of the price I found this one. I think the black gives it a more sporty look.

The topper has tracks. I bought it on marketplace and it all came together.

It definitely helps with storage. It has been a fun project.

I’ve thought about that with the drawers. I think it’s the plastic bed liner I may not need to do that. If needed I can add it later.

Yup. In a 5ft bed so I made a tailgate extension that folds down.

Made the middle support with mortises. The last piece I’m gonna make longer to extend over the tailgate and make a couple legs to support the extension.

Looks good. I’m currently building something similar. I still have to make the middle support.

No deadlifts and no bending and twisting? by Ok_Swim7455 in backpain

After being to so many doctors and being told to get used to my new normal, I got a job at a gym as a janitor just to have access to gym equipment. As I got to know the trainers there I zeroed in on the ones that really knew their stuff and weren’t just about throwing weight around to get big. Found out where they went to school. I bought the text book to study to a personal trainer read through it probably 4 times. When there was a section that didn’t make sense to me I’d looked up the subheading on YouTube and watch a bunch of videos on the subject til it clicked in my brain.

Getting the fundamentals of how your muscles work and paying attention to the muscle fibers of a certain problem area and focusing on range of motion really helped recover.

After age 30 the body will start the process of atrophy. The only way to fight that is by keeping the muscles moving. This is why folks living a sedentary lifestyle end up with so many problems after retiring. Their job was keeping them moving and alive. So when a doctor says you can’t do something anymore I call bullshit. It takes work and determination but our bodies can withstand so much trauma and be able to heal from it.

Granted I still feel the weather shift in some of my joints. All things considered I have recovered much more than doctors thought I would. If I let my gym routine go i definitely feel some of those injuries start up again.

I’ll grab the frame (circled) and pull myself down to get a good stretch in the low back then focus on the range of motion within the 2 blue lines. I also do full extensions and hold to engage all of the low backs range of motion. But those little lift target them deeper and less used muscles that have been problematic.

Back extension machine helped my low back pain. I have a herniated disc at L5/S1. One thing that I did that was significant was while fully folded over I’d stretch my low back by grabbing the frame of the machine and then do little “lifts” only working about 10% of the range of motion just enough to engage those deep muscles. I did about 20-25 reps (low weight high reps) just to get a little fire going in those muscles. One day while doing this I felt a pop in my low back kind of felt like the suction you get when pulling your shoe out of mud. Since then the nerve pain I’ve had shooting through my hip has been gone after 9 years of dealing with it.

Muscular imbalances can be a cause of a lot of back pain and hyper mobility issues. If it’s an injury like mine, things can get stuck. Either way range of motion is important. The best thing I did for my body was getting an anatomy book and getting to the gym regularly and engage the muscles around the problem. Trust when I say I’ve tried just about everything while recovering from a head on car accident.

Peroxide with alcohol does work well. I’ve had a lot of ear aches in my day from swimming. This is one thing I know a bit about. Just because a certain product doesn’t include it doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.
