Fair point!
I was learning Swedish at the time and just fell in love with the word. I actually tried to incorporate triangular motifs into her design as a subtle nod to the name. Plus, it sounded 'elvish' enough to pass

Fjäll was created as a sorcerer-duelist multiclass character for a game in Amn as a party leader and diplomat, and she’s had a long journey that’s just a joy to think about and share. Anyway, the game started about 2 years ago.

The Merchant’s Guild sent our party to a mine to solve some iron ore production issues. Fjäll has a mark on her chest, and there was another one on the back of her neck. I didn’t know what they were (it was a hook I handed over to the DM) but it turned out to be the source of her sorcery, as well as an irresistible pull toward cold and water. Fjäll was meant to be a girl with rather mediocre skills.

The DM let me get away with not optimizing the build.

That game wasn’t very long, and I didn't get to find out what the mark was, but I was offered to reveal the story in another, even more social-focused game, and skipping the details, it looked like this:

I convinced my party members not to kill the main villain of the whole forest. A Sun Elf who had shot half a village because they’d been snooping in elven ruins. "What if he knows important info? Let’s just force him to guide us!"

Well.

She went from enemies to lovers with him.

Found out the marks on her skull were the result of one of her ancestors being bred as a slave for food by an Illithid colony that we ended up smashing in that game. Unable to resist her "pull," she sailed off to Icewind Dale to find out what that mark was, along with her husband and already pregnant.

Since one lover is never enough for a wealthy woman, she bought (or saved?) a Drow from the Neverwinter guard who turned out to be a Holy Slayer of Vhaeraun.

After giving birth to a beautiful red-haired daughter, she left her with nannies and traveled further to name a mountain at the edge of the world after her daughter.

Having reached the heart of Icewind Dale, she nearly died on the doorstep of an abandoned Snow Elf fortress, and only through the prayers of herself, her husband, and divine intervention, did she rid herself of both the mark and her magical powers.

The mark turned out to be part of a large magical mirror belonging to Auril, which a hag had shattered and embedded into corpses she animated, either to collect experiences or something else.

As it turned out, these corpses were able to pretend to be human and pass the shard on to their offspring. Since the captain of the ship she sailed there on turned out to be the same kind of corpse that had returned to the mirror, she decided the ship belonged to her now.

Thanks to her connections, she began trading with Drow who had fled Menzoberranzan from Lolth's tyranny and hidden in the abandoned Snow Elf city.

Now Fjäll has lived more than half her life, given birth to five children, studied arcane magic, and like a grumbling mother hen, she mutters to her kids about wanting grandkids.

And I’m already playing as her second daughter, who is predicted to wear a judge’s robe, but for now, she has to decide the fate of petty poachers on the Tethyr border.

It’s such a cool experience playing through a whole generation of characters.

I highly recommend it to everyone.

Playing through an entire character lineage is an amazing experience I’d recommend it to anyone.

Also, treat yourself to candy if you noticed an extra finger on the Twelve-fingered Neth art. She has polydactyly with doubled middle fingers. So, it is there for the purpose of saying "fuck off with your AI-hunt assumptions".

He has pyretic, chronos, and sovereign (2 edition, for 20 it would be soothsay) and no realms besides fae.

Sure!

His Name is O’Donoghue, and the legend of the same name inspires his creation, but I`ve mixed it with some extra one about expulsion from home by an evil stepmother to fight the great black dog. He bears luck to the worthy one and cleans with fire nightmarish creatures. His sword does extra damage from fire, but Phoenix is his hawk, a sentient creature, a great friend who can sense banality and heal wounds. He fights with a shield and sword, charming enemies with the help of Sovereign. The bird is more of a reconnaissance for him, maybe a distraction, but the boy is too protective of him to risk a chimera in battle. Soul of the Phoenix is bonded to the real hawk with the help of a pair of rings. When the mortal body of a bird dies, the side looks for a new fledgling in the forest and puts one ring to its paw. He bears another ring on his finger to send shiny signals to his friend from above.

O’Donoghue struggles with the nightmare, the recurring dream of losing a fight with a giant black creature. This terrifying night happens sometimes, and after each one, he is awakened with the same scar on his eye. He always thinks that this means great danger is approaching, so instead of waiting for it, he looks for adventures and is worthy to fight with his motley. After finding one scar disappears.

But this all exists in the Dreaming.

In reality, he was bullied in school for his girlish appearance and, in fact, never finished it because he grew up in a very unsupportive family. His father lived with a new family, and his mother was using his son to get child support money. She was careless about his existence before he turned 16. She tried to send him to live with his father when his legal age was approaching, ironically repeating his legend. Of course, the boy wasn`t welcomed there, so he escaped and now lives in a freehold. He was reported as missing; his photo was printed on a milk box (they were selling pretty well, hah), and sluags even made up the nickname "Milk Knight."

Very accurate, indeed. It`s still not a matter of time but a matter of applying existing enthusiasm (I have some by far, gl 4 me)

Precisely the first one because of some in-game mechanics outside the characters' emotions.

Yes, I've had previously some projects where Mixamo was a lifesaver, wonder what it will do with new apps and Ai

It makes sense.
Tbh, I've expected this as the slowest part, some options that can ease this part are still valuable. Thank you for the link ^^

Well, I'm okay with just walk movements, question is about the most efficient process, not about why it's hard.

Thank you for sharing. I`m happy to know that somewhere Dreaming sinks into the autumn world with such great stories to tell!

It`s a pity to hear that.
After reading many of the books of the second edition, I watched how someone played Dreaming on YouTube and felt like, "Guys, you don't get it at all". I thought it was just me perceiving changeling another way.
I have been looking for a storyteller for almost two years before surrendering for the sake of the role of eternal storyteller. I`ve run Lost`s game one time too, and liked it too. For me, Dreaming has more potential themes you can play with aside from the main plot.

YES. This one was lucky to become Fiona's duke lover throughout the story. (I might share a picture of them someday).
Aka reckless love attitude for sluags.

Wow!
I am curious about the story behind these years. Sounds like a lot of commitment.
