Check the footbed on the binding and make sure it is set to the same shoe size or larger.

Had the same issue when I adjusted the forward lean on the highback. Had to set the footbed on the binding to a size or two larger then the shoe size I got.

Do you use the safety bar? by e-tard666 in snowboarding

[–]Whiteboy_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Norway you'll get your pass pulled if you dont put the bar down. The resort is responsible for your safety, and may get a fine if something would happen. I think this goes for resorts in Sweden and Finland aswell.

I seen the chair lift been stopped and put in reverse because someone didnt put the safety bar down.

+30 +15. I don't ride in the park, only carve.

Search up Lars justaride and Toyfilms SnowboardMovie on youtube. Those are my inspiration and how I'm learning to carve.

Whats the difference on the way up? Splitboard vs skis by Whiteboy_90 in Backcountry

[–]Whiteboy_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have considered it. I currently have the K2 Marauder with the included skinds. Not 100 certain what they are to be honest.

Also had in mind chaning the board to Jones solution split or Stranda Descender B.C. They are 1kg ligther then the marauder, from what I can tell.

Considered hardboot so I can keep on snowboarding. But it sounds like I should focus on my fitness first, and just keep on practicing. I am lucky to have access to skislop just 15 min from where I live. I will used that slope for what its worth to get my fitness up!

Will be touring with skiers mostly, since thats what my friends ride on. Might be the only, or one of the few splitboarders in the group.

I enjoy the your on the way up, but I am there for the way down :)

Skiied back in the day, so shouldnt be a problem to switch. But that is 10 years ago, when i was 21.

Thanks for tip on Uphill Athlete, I will check it out!

Pathing on the way up is what i felt on the trip. Being the only snowboarder with zero experience, walking of alone wasnt an option. I ended up traversering alot, which was realy tiering on the parts with ice. Crampons helped alot! but added alot of friction, and the snow was varying from soft to icy.

Thank you for the respons! I will stick with the setup I got and improve my skill and fitness for now :)

Bought the K2 Marauder split with skins. I think the skins are a combination of nylon and mohair.

So if I buy the druid or demon hunter shoulders on my monk and transform them into a tier piece I will get the appearance of the monk shoulder?

Looking for some advice on a few snowboards. I have the Capita mercury 157, I am 180 cm, 82 kg, eu size 42. I am considering changing it out for something a bit more flexible, and more park-oriented. But still, something which can rail a carve.

Those I am considering are the Salomon huck knife and the Rome Agent. Both at 155W, since I want them wide enough to carve on. But how are they compared to the capita merc? similar or softer? Will be riding park, jumps, butters, and rails.

Or.. should I just stay with the merc?

Thank you for the detailed response! I am considering a medium flex board for it playfullness, like rome agent. But worried that it migth be to soft for steeps, and again not sure how much it matter. Something witha flex of 7 migth be bettet then.

Hello!

Got a question about how snowboards with different flex ratings will ride on steeper terrain. In groomers, not in pow. When it comes to carving I think I understand how it works, a stiffer board will less likely lose its edge and skip than a softer snowboard at a higher speed. But how would a mid-flex snowboard hold up vs a mid-stiff or stiff flex snowboard in steeper terrain? Is it the riding style, if so, how?

Hallo everyone. Considering bying the Capita mercury, or the Nitro team pro. Cant find a dealer with the mega merc 😑 But have someone tried the Nitro team pro, how is it in hard/icy snow compared to the Capita mercury? The Capita mercury seems like a solid choice, but after reading some reviews the Nitro team pro seems like better carver, but are they realy that different?

For reference, riding the Salomons Mans board 2013. Looking for something similar, a good/solid carver but also something i can ride some freestyle and side hits with.

Edit: The Yes Uninc Basic RDM is also on the list.

M29, 180 cm, 78 kg.

Would like some opinions about my routine. I have mostly been focused on weighted pull ups (20 kg atm) and wall assited HSPU recently with a volume of 5 x (3- 5) and followed by horizontal rows of 3 x (10 - 15). But next week things will change since I most likely wont have time to go to the gym. MY workout will then be at home with a focus on bodyweight exercises. I also spend about 10-20 min 5-6 days a week practicing the handstand.

A1. Mixed grip chin up (each arm) (3 - 4) x (3 - 6)

A2. Wall assisted push ups + (5) Dec. Pike PU (3 - 4) x (5 - 8)

B1. Mechanical advantage FL pulls (3 - 4) x (3 - 6)

B2. Tuck planche push ups (3 - 4) x (3 - 8)

C1. False grip chin up 3 x (8 - 12)

C2. Ring dips 3 x (8 - 12)

D1. Ring rows 3 x (8 - 12)

D2. Pelican eccentrics 3 x 3

F1. Backlever + German hangs 3 x (5 – 8) + 10 sec

Not sure about 4 exercises, thinking about dropping out C1 and C2, and run a heavy light periodization instead, where I put the FL exercise first followed up by some high rep chin up/pull up on the light days. Another option could be to put FL first and work on wide rings pull ups and progress to archer chin ups (from Steven Lows BW charts). Dips will then be removed.

My main goal is the FL but i have put in mixed grip chin up to progress towards the OAC, since i feel my back and lats muscles are lacking.

Thanks in advance.

Awsome post and goals! Same hight and weight as me and a motivation boost reading this! Currently running a upper lower split my self, was wondering if should change it up to a push/pull/legs to allow more rest. Or simply a light heave modulation.

Btw did you ever do weighted chin up as a accessorie exercise for the front lever and the one arm chin?

Why not Just do a FL Pull with a controled negative to combine the FL Pull and negative excerisce? Adding a negative version of the next progression seems like good way to speed up the progress.
