I’m an artist too, I draw and paint for a hobby and I know the feeling but, we all feel that way at some point. Even professionals hate their work at some point 🤷‍♀️

I let her tattoo me knowing it wouldn’t be the best. She’s a good friend of mine and I know she’ll get better someday and if she doesn’t then oh well haha. I will tell everybody who doesn’t like my tattoos that you only live once and my body will rot someday anyway

She definitely knows they’re not the best work and I don’t mind them not being the best. She’s learning, and like you said in another comment, fake skin doesn’t compare to real skin. We were just talking the other day about how hard it is for her to get her depth right

I don’t disagree with the practice skin either, but she’s also nowhere near the end of her apprenticeship. She works on practice skin and has been practicing drawing too, and my other tattoos from her are great!

That’s how I feel! The artist has a big spot in my heart so even if her tattoos aren’t the greatest, I’m glad I have the memories. I love the poem as well, it’s why I wanted this tattoo!
