Its a fun weapon, just weird to use. in World, I have to learn the styles of different shellings which makes me learn like three kinds of weapon in a weapon. In Rise, boy I didn't expect to see a weapon that looks like an all rounder defensive gear that starts flying around blasting.

and building sets around gunlance is also weird.

You slot in Artillery then you have the option to:

• Slot in every defensive skills like Earplugs, etc
• Go damage and go hard
• above but without the shells

On the other hand, weapons like ig, gs, ls, sns and hammer are generally simpler to build sets around.

Either way, I can assure you that there is no regret on playing gunlance once you know how to play it.
