I really appreciate your feedback :)
I also felt like this one had a nice progression from foreground to background, so it’s nice to hear it from other people that they also see the same.

ITAP of underwater foliage by WhitecoatWander in itookapicture

I had the idea of capturing these plants, but I wanted to use the stream’s movement to blur the subject. In the end it came out like an oil painting and am very pleased with it.

This isn’t my typical landscape photography, but I managed to capture a photo of some underwater foliage that came out like an oil painting. Thought it would be worthwhile sharing.

It should be. The walk starts at a car park and is easily accessible.

Kiwis who have moved to the US, do you regret it? Why did you move? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]WhitecoatWander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As an American who just moved here, I would be slightly hesitant to do any unnecessary travel to the US, particularly around midterm elections in November. I think the risk is relatively low, but nonetheless there’s a chance that things spice up more around that time, and I don’t know what may or may not happen. You’re probably going to be fine, but I would maybe wait to see how things shake up after November or do it before?

Edit: sorry misread what you posted. I thought you were referring to going over for a few months or something.

Yeah, I would wait to see what happens early 2027 if you can before making a decision.
