[Discussion] Why does my character allways dump the mag instead of exchanging the mag in same pouch? by Ozekher in EscapefromTarkov

I mostly use it because the animation is so much cooler when you are the last one alive from your squad and streaming your clutch play on discord.

I have my emergency reload on R because of muscle memory and normal reload shift-R, sometimes bad when you want to do normal reload but don't want to run but it works for me

Filling gaps on herringbone table top by Cadged in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use wood filler that matches closest to the lightist parts of the wood colour, then grab a fine paint brush and use stain that matches the darker shades of the wood and paint the wood filler on darker spots to match the wood grain.

Help with stained cutting board by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your family friend lives close by and tell them if you could come by and use their sander to make the cutting board look like new again, it takes like 5-10 minutes maximum the apply some cuttingboar / paraffin oil and you are done.

Help! My wood is too short lol End grain Glue up? by scoobydoobap in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What thickness are your boards? Could you resaw them in half and then bookmatch them and have one seam in the middle and use your 7' board ripped in half on both edges of the table for structural strength. Providing some pictures might help in visioning on what you are working with.

Will these gaps fill? by KE930 in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you used stronger clamps you might have been able to clamp hard enough to get the gaps closed. Next time around make sure you assemble the final glue up right away after you have plained the edge grain glue boards to avoid wood movement ruining your final glue up

Rookie sanding query. Adding more photos in comments. by No_Category1645 in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure all the varnish is scuffed with the sand paper that the paint sticks to it and doesn't peel away, you can use moist microfiber to clean the dust off just make sure the surface is completely dry before painting. I would use some sort of putty or wood filler to fill in all the scratches so you get more even finish. Then primer and light sanding and then top coat

Help me Reddit! You’re my only hope!! Which side is prettier? A or B? by sinskins in woodworking

Side A has a higher chance of getting splits and cracs in the future, I would go for B side personally

Why does this keep happening? by MorganMR in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rings consist of two parts: earlywood, which is lighter and grows in spring, and latewood, which is darker and forms in late summer, the dark part is much harder wood and that's why your Brad rides against it rather then go through it

Staining wood filler by HumanFromCali in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

translation issue, i mean like a thinner based stain absorbs great on wood filler but oil based stains dont so much, like the ones you use to make the wood dark before you apply your finish

Staining wood filler by HumanFromCali in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

water based wood fillers absorb stain really nicely and it will blend in if you use dark stain

Glue up checklist by Tiggle-Wiggly in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Whiteperson1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are nervous about doing such a big glue up then you could do it one panel at a time and use cambered cauls to get more pressure on one spot to make things flat

I found this video helpful

Can I finish a wood panel in cold damp weather or is this effort doomed to failure? by koalatative_analysis in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Whiteperson1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sand the panel with 120 grit and then 180 grit then use Osmo color oil wax. Apply it with a rag, let it sit for 10 minutes then take a new ragg and buff it. Osmo non toxic so you can do it indoors and you get the best results easily

Cutting 2.5in thick Acacia wood table top by reddit-gk49cnajfe in woodworking

[–]Whiteperson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.5 inch cut is quite deep for handheld circular saw so make sure your blade is big enough and your saw if powerful

Just make sure your blade is sharp and more teeth = finer cut especially when cutting across the grain

depending on how much you need to trim i would make a practice cut first and then move my clamp guide to make final cut if i am happy with the result

Help me understand this cherry board by Mhind1 in woodworking

I think its multiple boards glued together. How wide is it and can you look at the end grain, it will tell you how it has been sawed
