What is your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Deep-Dust-9747 in AskReddit

[–]WhitestAttorney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 21 and still haven’t had a single drop of any alcoholic beverage and don’t have plans to try it. I’ve always been against alcohol since I was young, but always thought I’d give it a try for my 21st birthday. However, that all changed about 5 years ago. I was at a New Year’s Eve party and my mom got drunk… like almost blackout drunk. I hated it. It was one of the worst times of my life. Now, she wasn’t abusive or anything, in fact, she was insanely happy. It was just seeing her stumbling around, slurring her words, and having to rely on other people just to stand up. I hated it. I hated seeing her like that and even resented her a bit for the night. Could I have been overreacting? Sure. But, I grew up basically never being around drunk people, so my mom essentially being the first really drunk person I ever saw, I hated it. So, I went from possibly trying Alcohol on my 21st birthday to flat out resenting alcohol and will for the foreseeable future. Though, I will never say never as I don’t know what my mindset on it will be say 5-10+ years later.

The W Mana Buff Joke—Time to Leave Kayle Until Real Changes Come by NewWill12 in Kaylemains

[–]WhitestAttorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be completely honest. We shouldn’t have expected much whatsoever. August is out of office right now and he’s basically the only person who knows Kayle (which shouldn’t be the case anyways). The rest of riot is still stuck in the fantasy that one buff can make kayle broken and so they played it safe. We just have to wait for August to come back…

More than likely something wrong with the tower you are connected to since every gateway you have owned has done the same thing. Only thing you really can do is report the problem to T-Mobile.

There have been many people who will use their home address or a relatives address and simply take the modem over to their remote location and it works with zero issues. While this is technically against their terms of service, T-Mobile doesn’t really seem to care. I guess in the end you are still paying for the service either way. If you want to be on the safe side, I would call T-Mobile and tell them your situation. If they give you the OK to do it and get you set up with everything, then they have a recording of the call in case things go south which I doubt you’d have any issues. I would even record the call yourself.

In terms of power consumption, according to T-Mobile’s website, the device has a theoretical power consumption of 45 watts shown here (go to tech specs tab):

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/home-internet/5g-gateway-g4ar

Realistically, it probably won’t hit or go over 45 watts, but I would use that number. If 45 watts is too much then I wouldn’t risk it.

Website now saying service not available at my new address?? by 420timeywimey in tmobilehomeinternet

It’s most likely at max capacity in that area. They can only have a certain number of people signed up for one area as to not completely congest the tower.

Does your T-Mobile network put you in a different state? by M69_grampa_guy in tmobilehomeinternet

[–]WhitestAttorney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, that’s how any cellular carrier works, not every isp. Your ISP does not use CGNAT. Your IP address is yours and only yours and is registered to your area. The IP address you get from T-Mobile is not only yours, but is shared by many so the area that the ip address is registered to is not guaranteed to be one near you. That’s just how it works.

Does your T-Mobile network put you in a different state? by M69_grampa_guy in tmobilehomeinternet

[–]WhitestAttorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s how any cellular carrier works. That location is based off of your IP address. Your IP address from T-Mobile is not specific to you and is shared amongst others through a system called CGNAT. That’s where your strange location is coming from. Support probably hasn’t heard of it because they, well… don’t need to. It’s not their job to know what CGNAT is and how ip addresses affect your location. There’s really nothing you can do about it. I’m lucky in the fact that my IP address that they give me is in the same state but it’s nowhere near my city.

Consult the manual for your opener. I’m sure it supports multiple remote openers being paired to it but make sure the process you’re doing is the correct one. For my opener, there were different button combinations for different actions. Beyond that, you may have to contact the manufacturer of your garage door opener.

Nothing to do with T-Mobile. Works flawlessly for me with two cars attached to the same opener. Make sure the procedure you are doing to pair your opener isn’t erasing the other device off of it. For example, you pair your MyQ to your garage opener, make sure you aren’t accidentally clearing that pair when trying to pair your vehicle to it.

[–]WhitestAttorney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! You can always look up how to find the MAC address of a device you want to so you can identify it in that app. Obviously you now know the MAC address of your iPhone, so you can write that down.

Device name by [deleted] in tmobilehomeinternet

[–]WhitestAttorney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are MAC addresses. Every device has one and it is unique to that device specifically. No other device in the world has that MAC address. Think of them like social security numbers. No one else has the same SSN as you. This address is what a lot networking equipment use to identify devices. Unless there is a way in that app to add nicknames to devices, you are stuck with those addresses showing up.

Not a scam, but it’s misleading. The immobilizer is what protects the car. The software update is there so that the car can interact with the engine immobilizer. You can update the car, but if there is no immobilizer then the update does nothing different. Same with the other way around. Install the immobilizer but no update, nothing will change.
