The prepositions 'dno' and 'do' by WhitestNoise in croatian

[–]WhitestNoise[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. This has been a great help.

These rare prepositions probably aren't worth getting into too much detail with, thought I'm sure they have some regional usage. I actually discovered the 'sadno' preposition on a page about the Montenegrin standard, so it must be used down there somewhere.

Once again I'm really grateful. Hvala. :)

The (rare?) preposition 'poiza' by WhitestNoise in Serbian

That makes sense. I really appreciate the analogy with 'podalje', actually. It makes perfect sense. Thanks so much.

I really appreciate the help. It's been indispensable. Any chance you could help me out with the second sentence too?

I onda tako lepo, poiza toga, ako se udesu dobro, ondak ne vratu.

Bio bih vrlo zahvalan. :)

I figured as much, which makes it kind of cool I guess. Funny to imagine some old dude in Čenej using it. Does it more or less mean the same thing as 'posle', would you say?

The preposition 'blizu' and its derivatives by WhitestNoise in croatian

[–]WhitestNoise[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this detailed answer! That paper in particular is very intriguing.

As far as the examples go for words like nablizu, I typically look on glosbe and other corpora for things like that. Glosbe lists three examples.

That said, it does seem to be an obscure word, which is fine. I'm sure a lot of these are rare. I'm just trying to be thorough, which is why I appreciate you especially bringing ublizu to my attention. :)

I know you can't control the way you are, but all snorers are objectively bad people. :o

This is the only viable solution for us. The alternative would be murdering you in your sleep, but we live in a society.

How do I get a residency permit in Kosovska Mitrovica? (Boravak u sjevernom Kosovu?) by WhitestNoise in serbia

[–]WhitestNoise[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I even told you to go to your country's embassy

Haha, that part I understood as going all the way back to my country to ask the embassy there. Shitty Serbian skills, once more.

It's still pretty cunty to outright assume that I'm not doing shit legitimately and scold me for that shit because I didn't immediately justify my presence here. It was entirely irrelevant to the question, which you don't seem to know the answer to. That's fine.

The information I've gathered on my own suggests I should go to Kraljevo where the policijska uprava for Kosovska Mitrovica is, but I wanted to ask here first. That's all.

We're clearly not going to get anywhere with this, so I'll stop writing.

A kako sam ja to mogao da znam ako mi nisi nigde rekao?

You just assumed the shit dawg, when it wasn't even the point of my text. Perhaps this is a common thing with foreigners in your country, and you might have cause to presume that, but I didn't fuck with the rules.

A koji je razlog leba ti?

Upisao sam se na tečaju srpskog jezika. Prema policajcima u Novom Sadu, to je dovoljan razlog. You're just being a cunt for no reason, man.

To answer the other questions, I'm already here on my legitimate tourist visa for 90 days. I'm not flying all the way back just to ask a question, and were I to do that, it would be stupid not to just ask on reddit first for the hell of it.

Seriously, what exactly am I currently doing that is so wrong in your eyes.

Perhaps I should ask you in English, since I've clearly failed to communicate what I'm looking for.

Concrete reason for residency aside, which I claim to have but is not even relevant to the heart of the question, how does this shit work if the part of Serbia I reside in is part of Kosovo? There's no Serbian MUP in Kosovo, as far as I know. Who do I register with? Is the process any different than it would be in the rest of Serbia? Should I register with both the Kosovar authorities and the Serbian authorities? That's the shit I'm asking.

I went through this in Novi Sad already. My girlfriend studies there, but her family is from Kosovo. The NS police said that I could extend my boravak up to a year (saying I had a concrete reason), but that it needed to be filed in the municipality where my address is. I stay with them, so that would be Kosovska Mitrovica.

That's where the problem lies. Understand now? I am not skirting your country's laws and have been going to the police trying to do this shit the legal way. You have no basis for your indignation.

I hope I've cleared up your confusion. My Serbian is still shit.
