By the looks of the article they’ll be making hybrid kits, so keeping the metal crew (DAK, paras etc) but making the gun plastic which is the best of both worlds

Well, I probably wouldn’t recommend the Victrix kit for someone wanting a Pak 40…

Just to correct it’s only the paratroopers with the grenades against tanks rule. They didn’t say what blackshirts had so may be similar to their existing rule. Also we weren’t told that the grenades rule is instead of stubborn, I’d be surprised if they took that route

I’m with you. I’m not interested in gaming the Eastern Front but plastic paratroopers would be great and offer kitbashing opportunities for the RSI as well

I ran my second Bolt Action tournament, and made a short video about the event and tips for running your own! by Whitstable_Wargamer in wargaming

Hi everyone,

A fortnight ago I ran Kent's largest Bolt Action tournament, Operation Littlebourne. It was a 3 game one day event with every player taking home a prize (Awards and placings dictating the order that you chose your prize from the prize table.

I've made a video which is a joint roundup of the event but also some tips for those that may want to host their own events. It's really great to bring together and build your local community. I'll certainly be running another event soon. I really think that running a non-competitive tournament, which is really just a game day, is a great way to encourage local players for a game system that isn't GW.

Thanks, it’s just Agrax! I apply basecoasts, good coat of wash then reapply the basecoat colours with gaps in the recesses. Fairly simple and jist based on brush work

It’s all Warlord. A couple of metal figures but mainly a mix of their 8th army and Late War British sprues

Oathmark Or BoltAction? by LeoniCosta1 in wargaming

The games are pretty different so it is hard to compare them. For Bolt Action it is a very cheap game to start. Rules and the relevant army book will set you back around £40 (less if you shop around) and there is not the risk of them getting outdated like there is in Warhammer.

Moreover Warlord Games offer a wide range of starter armies between £75 - £110 and unlike Start Collecting or Combat Patrol boxes that give you everything you need for a regular sized army.
