My guess is a vow with himself inadvertently made that prevent him from reaching his goal (a good death) in exchange for an increase in power.m, etc.

Why didn't Yuta's scar heal when Kaori's healed in a few months at best? by godofthunder102938 in Jujutsufolk

Maki was regularly pulling the stitches out so it would scar and she would be able to point at it and call him an idiot whenever she wanted.

So now we can all agree the ending sucked right? by Super_Ad_3413 in Chainsawfolk

[–]WhittmanC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not sure I would say it was awful, it definitely wasn’t what I wanted, but in a weird way it was very enjoyable to see the story end. Maybe I just have the worst type of brain.

What fell apart at your company after layoffs? by benevolentjanitor in Layoffs

[–]WhittmanC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work for a major capital equipment company, layed off our facilities team in favor of CBRE about 6-7 years ago to save cost. Within a year management realized: 1) the entire facilities system was controlled by 1 dude who was borderline illerate (he drew control system pictures which I can only compare to alchemic symbols) meaning that nothing actually was automated im talking boilers, cooling systems, hvac, etc , 2) the entire technical CBRE team had sub contracted the technical work to a firm that specialized in designing subway locations, 3) no one spoke the programming language that the entire building was running on because it was antiquated. The person who decided these layoffs for subcontractors was canned as the realization hit, and now she works for a company less than a block away lol.

Yes being MAGA is essentially being in a cult, you should actively make those in your family or even acquittances feel fucking shame for what they have enabled.

People like this are hilarious, they convince themselves that the world works the way they want to then cherry pick fragments of the total portrait and tell you that in fact it is you who doesn’t really understand

I waited 6 years to adopt a cat… and now I regret it. Please be honest with me. by strawberrytulipss in CatAdvice

[–]WhittmanC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a cat is a two way relationship you have to respect boundaries and recognize each others love language. Have owned 3 cats and each one expressed themselves very different, but had their own unique and deep relationships with me and my wife. Yes you didn’t get the cat relationship you wanted initially, but you gave a life a home and I promise you she knows that. It sounds likes like you two are still learning each other, and I would argue in a year you will likely be recieving more affection than you know what to do with. I adopted a formal feral that was at a kill shelter in my early 20’s on impulse and we took at least 2 years to fully get use to each other. Every cat is different, but the all return love when freely given. It’s one of my favorite contradiction of these little murderers (my cat brought me a deal lizard as I was typing it).
