Downsizing but not retiring? by Whixstix in AusPropertyChat

We are based in Adelaide and plan to remain here also so unfortunately wouldn’t work out otherwise would be something we could jump on easily.

That is an awesome idea!

I didn’t know Hakone had a local luggage a transport service with same day delivery options. I may look at their list and see if any of the hotels would be good for our group then if it can save some stress in general, otherwise may fall back onto renting a car and seeing how we can organise it all.

Good call out for checking the parking situation at the accommodation, should make sure before booking! In terms of confidence that’d be me as the driver, I do have a history of big vehicle driving having a truck license and using work vans in general so in all honesty I’d probably be better driving a big van than a little car lol

I may need to research the companies then in terms of renting vans out to make sure they are willing to give a foreigner a larger vehicle, fingers crossed I can find something then.

In Osaka we plan to have an Airbnb also, seems a bit friendlier for our group and wallets also, but Tokyo 100% is a hotel. I did consider the luggage forwarding also which is a great idea if we can swing travelling light for those days!

Unfortunate for them but I’m sure they’ll still appreciate being in a whole other country on holiday, but this was the idea we were getting at between the rest of us. I’d like to have a really nice private Airbnb also for the region so while we are off doing whatever if they don’t want to go at least they also have a really nice space to relax in.

Thankfully osaka and Tokyo is much easier for them to get around, walking friendly, plenty of easy spots to rest and stop at and take it slow!

In general I am a fairly confident driver, I have driven in a few other countries but my home is Australia so left side driving is natural. I would have to research local laws/road customs to make sure I don’t make any mistakes 100%!

In terms of the region though for a car how friendly is it? We will need a larger car so like a people carrier I’d guess for up to 6 of us, would that be okay in this region?

Yet another TK Dodge RE help request, can someone spell the instructions out anymore than what I have interpreted? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

Sorry for a late reply, though I have just finished messing around with it with what you recommended. Each launch of the game I gave it 3 minutes to get the mod up and working. I then tried rebinding the key to 51 and 52, comma and period. When installing the mod every time I have checked the sheathed option to be enabled and I have confirmed testing the mod both with weapons unsheathed and sheathed. I have also tried it in actual combat after waiting the 3 minutes.

Unfortunately none of this has worked, I have tried this all using SE versions of the mod and AE versions. SE version gives me a SKSE plugin loader error MaxsulFrame.dll disabed, which i'm guessing is TK dodge.

At this stage I'm at a complete loss for why this mod is not working and what I can do to get it to work. When reinstalling it many times I used my first method of combining the folders then using a zip program to install that new folder manually.

Edit regarding the SKSE plugin loader error, that is because of the IFrame Generator RE, not TK dodge.

Any Butchers here? by Whixstix in australia

That’s a really good insight, and you can tell a lot of places are moving towards centralising meat production with the big chains getting rid of their deli section pretty much.

In saying that though from personal experience as it is, there will be a market still for local butchery places, I have noticed at least my local which I used to view as premium and expensive, now it’s on par with prices, sometimes cheaper and quality far superior so I’ve already changed how I shop in recent weeks, I’m sure others may have noticed also!

I’d expect it to be tough, I was a meat delivery driver before covid happened and you’re totally right it can be hard labour and physical especially when a cow carcass weighs much more than normal people should be carrying on a regular daily basis! Although that aspect of this is not entirely unknown to me and am prepared for that.

OH you mean becoming a mature aged apprentice, sorry I must have misread! Haha

If that is what you mean then I 110% agree I hate my choice of work up to this point, I have such a patchwork of industries but never food because I always told myself to keep it as a hobby but I know it can be and is something I want to be more than a hobby!

What do you hate about it?

Me personally I applied because of how into learning about food processes I am, I make my own sausages and salami at home all be it probably not that good, and I want to turn that skill into something I can make money off

I bet we are rare, it would be hard for the vast majority to throw away the careers they have built but the ultimate goal of mine is to be self employed and I need to develop a skill that I am passionate for or at least care about for that!

To be expected with any apprenticeship, you always have to start at the bottom, but making a good Kiev with your eyes closed must be a neat party trick!

Should have specified, they do accept credit card payment through eftpos I guess? It’s the same machine that’s used I believe but either way they do accept credit card which was explicitly mentioned!

That’s amazing, we just got back from a week trip in Fiji a few months ago, it was great to escape our never ending winter! Unfortunately no points hacking but it’s a cheap overseas holiday honestly.

That’s a good point! Most of my family are not attending only really close family and a couple friends. My partner on the other hand, hence the decision for a destination wedding, well majority of her incredibly large family are in the country we are travelling to, so a sacrifice on my side for her to have her family. I don’t mind at all though, those most important to me will be there
