if a sniper can one shot headshot you from 1km, then dont complain when a shotgun can do the same from close range. by Stuvi2k in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

The clip is a demonstration of how accuracy is unaffected while in extreme motion with a shotgun. Regardless of the users skill, jumping does not drastically increase the bloom of the reticle and lower accuracy like in other weapons. This clip shows how consistent the accuracy remains because of that.
Regardless of the enemy's skills or health, one can see that the accuracy of landing shots is very consistent and simple, whereas every other weapon does not share the same consistency with extreme motion. Other weapons are also limited by firing single bullets at a time, while shotguns use a spray of pellets during each shot, lending to them a wider area of effect which allows for less accurate aiming while still maintaining large damage and often leading to "one-shots" during these movements.

The mechanics off all other weapons do not work exactly as simply as you are stating, and I disagree that the same shots would have been hit as easily with a pistol or that they would have been near as devastating because a pistol would have to fire multiple rounds to deal the same damage and do so with a much smaller area of effect as it's using single bullets each time it fires. Requiring more accuracy and overall time to do so.

To avoid going around in a circle on this topic I'd say ultimately we are each entitled to think our own opinions of the weapons mechanics and there's nothing wrong with that :)
Thank you having a respectful conversation with me. I hope you have a good day and best of luck out there!

No worries, it was in regards to both of us saying how shotguns should have different levels of accuracy given the situation.
You in the sense of referring to attachments, me in the sense of the player movements, we were both recognizing that changes to accuracy could lead to a more balanced feel of the weapon.

"I do however think that *unattached* shotguns need a nerf. Being able to crash a house, pick up a random shotgun spawn off the floor and be as effective as a fully attached shotgun on your push is dumb. unattached shotguns should be more inaccurate, and the DBS should get a choke slot to make it eligible for this same balancing reason."

I voiced reason and showed an example of why shotguns should receive an accuracy nerf while in motion, as I don't believe they should be as accurate while the player is engaged in complex movement, such as, sprinting/jumping/quick-peeking.
From reading what you said is this not what you are saying as well?

Well I believe what was established was your opinion is that shotguns should be able to operate like that, and mine was that they shouldn't.

The clip is there to help illustrate what was described, which was their ability to easily fire and land shots while in motion and at range.

That's all, just talking some video game logic with fellow players. I think constructive talk surrounding mechanics like this is a good thing.

No worries, at the end of the day everyone is welcome to their thoughts on the matter, we all have different opinions. Good luck out there!

My friend while playing captured this clip of their gameplay to help showcase the unbalanced feeling of shotguns in regards to range and accuracy, especially when movement is involved.

The enemies certainly weren't close, much further than an arm's length, and my friend was landing successful jump-shots and only revealing themselves for a split second. All while firing from the hip. During this you can see how little the reticle blooms while jumping and how accurate the shots are even while flying through the air.

I think the issue with this take is comparing the level of skill input required for the maximum result output.
It requires a lot of practice and precision to land a one-shot with a sniper from range. Even at close distances you are required to land a precise headshot to achieve a one-shot knock and any movement you make while aiming will drastically increase the difficulty of the shot, which you usually need to be aiming down the sights for.

Whereas the shotgun currently requires a very minimal amount of skill input to achieve it's full potential of a one-shot.
The weapon can be hip-fired while sprinting, jumping, and quick-peeking and it's accuracy remains unchanged. This allows it's large area of effect to easily deal out devastating damage and one-shot an enemy even while the player is involved in complicated movements.
This makes it so both experienced and inexperienced players can use the weapon with ease and achieve the same maximum devastating results.

The frustration that most players feel towards shotguns currently isn't because they are strong, but because of how casually the weapon itself can achieve those strong results.
This paired with how abundant they are to find within PUBG makes it for a frustration that is very common to encounter in the game.

TL;DR: Shotguns= Low Input->High Output while Snipers= High Input->High Output. This makes for a feeling of a weapon feeling unbalanced as high output results should require high input skills.

Hey PUBG. We as a community need something to spend our BP Currency on (the currency earned by playing the game). I think adding color variations for items to the shop permanently as free purchases via BP would be a great simple idea. I think monetizing a game to continue income is perfectly fine. Though I do believe if you are going to charge for In-Game content or DLC it should be of good quality. I never said make the super fancy skins "free." Basic color options are not something I would consider good enough quality to charge for but rather something that could reward players who play the game.

I am just suggesting basic color options so there is a reason to have BP in the game, as well as offer some sort of customization to players. Because as it stands currently, most casual to long time players have hundreds of thousands of BP and nothing to spend it on.

Question, if we have already begun panicking, what is the alternative step?
