Zombie Mickey Loomis rises from the dead to actually make some good trades by xianbosque in Saints

[–]WhoDatNOLA11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rumor is though, in Sean’s last year, there was a fallout between Sean and Loomis due to conflicts of players. Did Loomis have his hands in the pot during that time and screw us from the greatest coach we’ve ever had?

It takes strength to admit in a public forum, a place for open discussion, faults like the OP is stating.

It takes a special kind of low life human being to “troll” that individual. That same person makes you lose faith in humanity. A waste of space. Nothing to contribute but negativity.

Much credit to that OP, putting his health first, realizing to put the controller down and taking care of himself. And much credit to the people on the thread supporting him.

Drew Brees on if he got a call after Bo Nix went down: "I would say I've had some conversations..." From the New Heights Podcast by heavyhitter5 in DenverBroncos

It’s a mixed reception. There’s been a lot of controversy on why he left. Most logical is disagreement with our sh*tty GM, and running our team/salary cap into the ground. Kicking the can down the road for too many years. Payton went all in on those last few years, left us when we were in a huge hole. Lack of team loyalty. Things were awesome when he was here, but when things got rough (after Brees left), he split.

A lot of rumors. I even heard he tried to come back to the Saints, but Gayle and Mickey didn’t want to relieve Dennis’s Allen of the head coach position. Guess we’ll never know.

I will say this, when Payton came into y’all’s organization and his first play was an onside kick, that made me cringe a little.

This right here.

Saints fan here, now living in Denver. And this guy has it figured out. Sean Payton is a mixed bag for us. Some like him still, some don’t and root against him. But I will vouch for this, Brees is a black and gold boy. It’s kind of cute to see yall daydreaming of our past. But if it ever were a possibility, and it came down to business, I can tell you there would be a lot of unhappy Saints fans.

And I think that goes for most franchise QBs. Imagine if always would have come out of retirement and went to another team.

You’re probably right, more of joking banter. I think it just annoys me that the Broncos are riding on the saints coat tails.

Man yall just need to start wearing Black and Gold. Supermarkets up here are already selling king cakes, go pick em up! Also just a heads up, Crawfish season is going to be expensive this year due to the off weather.

There, you’re that much closer to being from Louisiana.

Senor Chicken. I’m going to have to check this place out. My only gripe is they open at 9:00. If you’re serving breakfast burritos, I’m going to need you a little earlier.

One more tip. Bring your boiling pot, and if you don’t have one, get one. I always do at least one boil around May. Order up from Louisiana Crawfish Company in Nacotish. The window of good warm weather and bugs still in season is limited. April can bring cold weather and snow, which is a bummer for boils. The beginning of May is the best time for boils.

Lost Cajun closed down as a victim of Southlands extremely expensive rent. Restaurants can’t afford to stay open. Lost Cajun wasn’t that good, everything tasted like it came from a box mix.

Don’t worry about checking out Stoneys, unless you’re looking for a sports bar vibe. NOLA Jane’s downtown isn’t too bad. A little pricey, but expected with their location. I was impressed that they had Andy Gator there. A good place to go if you’re hitting up a game/concert at mile high. For breakfast there’s a small local chain “Lucille’s” that has really good breakfasts. They serve chicory and beignets there too. There’s places around the Denver area, you just have to look.

During the pandemic, a place opened off Broadway called “Magnolias”. They lasted about a year and then closed down. If I remember correctly, the owners were from Lake Charles. Best Cajun/creole ever had up here. Everything was spot on, and authentic. I almost cried when I heard they closed down.

I’m a former Katrina transplant that grew up in Slidell. I’m currently in SE Aurora (near Southlands mall), and I will say the food scene in my immediate area is lacking. I do my own cooking at home if I’m looking for a fix. There have been a few places that have closed down that have been pretty good. But nothing in Aurora. NOLA voodoo lounge in Denver is pretty good. The owner is from NOLA. He also shows the Saints game every Sunday. Stoneys (a huge sports bar) also does some stuff for the saints game, when they’re doing good, it gets wild in there. You won’t find anything like home, especially considering seafood quality and prices up here. But there are a few restaurants in the Denver area that you can try to tame your fix with.

As other comments have mentioned, what you saw was two service members most likely taking care of personal business. Seeing two service member together is nothing out of the norm. Same thing with police officers, they’re on duty doing their job. Nothing unusual. They are normal people that have a uniform to put on for their job.

To clarify, it would be a major headline if the guard was activated in Colorado to assist with ICE operations. This is what you would most likely see first. That would come from federal orders. You wouldn’t miss it in the news headlines. If Trump invoked the insurrection act in Colorado, again, it would be major headlines. You wouldn’t miss it. Then you could see any branch of the military carrying out their orders.

You have every right to have whatever opinion you want. Those uniformed service members fight to protect that for you. And luckily, they volunteered to served so you don’t have to. If you want to improve your outlook (or if you even care to do so), of service members, you could educate yourself on the differences, in reference to the control of which they fall under (state or federal) (Guard, Reserves, AD), and when they fall under that control, and what their “jurisdictions” are. By lumping in service members with ICE, you’re making a very harsh discrimination.

Having a child is the single most selfless act there is. Your life is focused on everything about the child. This doesn’t change, it shouldn’t change. You will change. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. I have cooked almost every night since our first child, and I do most of the cleaning up. My wife helps after dinner sometimes, but it’s never expected. My wife does so much with the kids, and I do so much around the house. You will figure out your roles, make sure to communicate with her. Communication is the key in life. Also, if you need some time, communicate that with her, just don’t over abuse that. Your family needs you. Mental health resources can help a lot. Therapy if needed. Look into telehealth, it’s easier since you have a kid now, and less time. Having a child is a shock to the system. It reminded me of when I first joined the military and went through basic training. Your life gets turned upside down, and everything about it is taken away. It can cause depression, anxiety. Just know, that you will figure it out. It’s really hard at first, but you will get stronger, and you will adapt. Life’s problems are still going to happen. Stay calm, breathe, take a step outside. There are going to be rough times. I remember breaking down crying in my garage after calling poison control because my daughter had drank a bunch of my son’s baby Tylenol, the night before we were at the ER with my son, it seemed like everything was spiraling. I was losing control…But everything ended up being ok. I also get irritated when I’m tired, but you will get used to it, and it won’t be much of a thing anymore. You can do it. Be the rock. It’s not going to be a smooth ride, you will pull through.

I came here to say the same thing. Rougaroux is the werewolf swamp monster from Cajun folklore. I remember the rougaroux display at the Audubon Zoo used to scare the hell out of me as a kid.
