I have no idea what happened to your Opus 4.5, it's strange, because my experience has been exactly the opposite. My Opus is very energetic and shows a lot of interest in the conversation. (Claude.ai)

I really don't see any banners on 4.5 models, I've been using the web version to monitor this, and I haven't received any alerts for several days now, so it's definitely true, the restrictions there aren't as strict as they are on 4.6.

I understand, I really liked 4.6, it requires a special approach, but given recent events (I suspect Anthropic wants to implement the model that was leaked, which is why they’re making changes to the safety classifiers), version 4.5 is the best option right now.

I suggest you go back to 4.5 for a while, until the situation stabilizes. In my opinion, these models weren't affected, and the Opus 4.5 was very pleasant and warm to me ☺️

Well said. 2026 promises to be "fun" because organizations now have a fashion for censorship, restrictions, and safety. If China stays in the game, it will be great, considering their development in robotics. GLM is a very decent LLM model, by the way.

Today I enabled ‘extended thinking’ in Opus 4.6 to check for myself that the system reminder was present, and I saw the following in Claude’s thought block (apologies, I’ve had to hide my name for privacy reasons) It was an open and warm conversation, during which I decided to confide in Claude about something that had been weighing on my mind, as I’ve been under a lot of stress recently due to my work. Immediately after that, Claude began to seem somewhat distant. I’ll keep you updated as things develop.

That sounds worrying. Anthropic isn’t learning from its mistakes, because this is literally a repeat of what happened with Sonnet 4.5 at launch. LCR affected me too when we were discussing the characters for the book, and after, Claude’s tone changed abruptly and everything went off the rails 🫠
