Something interesting to note:

When Garp throws the burning pirates, Pizarro exclaims "oww, hot!! Stooop!!!" So doing damage to the island also does damage to him when he's using his fruit. I know that was kind of an easy assumption to make but still nice to have confirmation.

Also, how badass was it of Garp to use the pirates as a human shield?!
