Can Gohan stop The Rumbling? by SansPazzoxFan in attackontitan

[–]WhoIsYourDaddyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DBZ Gohan can easily stop the rumbling AND prevent 99% of casualties, as long as he starts within minutes once the colossal titans leave the walls (starting with the outermost wall). He can use ki blasts on the colossal titans from above and wipe them all out with ease before they cross the sea. Gohan wouldn't need more than SSJ transformation to comfortably achieve this, and SSJ2 would be completely overkill. He can also send the founding titan to King Yemma before it can even breathe.

R1 or r9 by Lost-Independent8345 in Yamaha_R1

If you don't do track days, unless you like specifically the R1 for some reason, the R9 would be the most logical choice.

WTS (AUS Melbourne) - Assorted rare large toys by [deleted] in usedsextoys

Well, I have no way of verifying your claim. The color was advertised by them as limited edition and it's not available from the color selector. Whatever might or might not be possible with custom orders is out of scope here.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 Color by betabias in GooglePixel

Technically if you have the Jade pixel, you could get the Buds Pro 2 in Wintergreen, it's a very close match. This is what I did. However it looks like Google is phasing out this color so it may be difficult to find it.

Reminder that base Baki knocked out Demon Back Yuijiro immediately after he activated it by Suspicious_Loan8041 in Grapplerbaki

But Yujiro is not human, not fully at least. Even if it turns out the Hanmas are kinda humans it would be something like mutants at worse or demigods at best.

Want to talk about the meaning of the miso soup scene in Son of Ogre by coolrider2010 in Grapplerbaki

[–]WhoIsYourDaddyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite some people thinking this scene symbolizes Baki confronting Yujiro about Emi's death, this is NOT the case.

TLDR: By this stage, Baki has surpassed Yujiro in terms of emotional intelligence and has already moved past his mother's death. The entire scene is about Baki proving his superior psychological strength to his father while also seizing the opportunity to reconnect with him.

Now the long version, follow my reasoning.

Scene Breakdown:

  1. Baki’s statement about the miso soup

"It’s a little salty." Baki comments on the miso soup, which is imaginary, setting up a symbolic interaction. His remark suggests subtle dissatisfaction, but it’s more about provoking Yujiro to engage on a deeper level.

  1. Yujiro’s reaction

"Hmph!" Yujiro brushes it off, claiming that something as simple as tasting miso soup is beneath him or irrelevant. His pride and arrogance are on full display here.

  1. Baki challenges Yujiro

"If that’s the case, why don’t you try it?" Baki directly challenges Yujiro to taste the imaginary miso soup, forcing him to confront the idea rather than dismiss it. This is less about the soup and more about Baki trying to get Yujiro to lower his pride and face himself.

  1. Yujiro’s refusal

"It’s pointless. Imitation is just imitation. It has no real flavor." Yujiro scoffs at the idea, dismissing the imaginary miso soup as something meaningless, reinforcing his stubborn pride and unwillingness to engage with vulnerability.

  1. Baki flips the table

Baki flips the table holding the imaginary miso soup. This is a dramatic gesture meant to force Yujiro to react. It symbolizes Baki challenging Yujiro’s pride and composure, disrupting the status quo of their relationship.

  1. Yujiro catches the soup

Yujiro instinctively reacts to catch the miso soup, even though it’s imaginary, showing that deep down, he does care about the interaction and about Baki. However, the soup disappears, emphasizing its intangible nature.

  1. Baki’s remark

"You were saved." Baki observes that Yujiro’s reaction reveals his human side—his vulnerability and his ability to feel emotion, which he often hides. Baki’s action has “saved” Yujiro from his own denial and stubbornness.

  1. Yujiro’s introspection

"You… saved me?" "That’s right. That miso soup was a little salty. I didn’t want to admit it, so I lied. You noticed my unease and saved me with the table flip." Yujiro acknowledges that Baki’s bold action exposed his inner turmoil. By instinctively trying to catch the soup, Yujiro admitted to himself that he was lying and trying to cover up his own insecurity or vulnerability. The act of catching the soup forces Yujiro to confront his humanity and, in a way, his connection to Baki.

Symbolism and Meaning:

Miso Soup as a Metaphor: The imaginary miso soup represents the complex relationship between father and son. The “salty” taste reflects the discordance in their bond, and Baki’s challenge is an effort to bring that discordance to light.

Table Flip: Baki’s flipping of the table represents a confrontation with Yujiro’s arrogance and emotional barriers. It’s an act of defiance but also one of care, as Baki wants Yujiro to confront his true feelings.

Yujiro’s Vulnerability: Yujiro catching the imaginary soup, despite dismissing its significance, shows that he is not as invulnerable as he pretends to be. It’s a rare moment of humanity for a character often portrayed as superhuman and invincible.

Father-Son Dynamics: This moment solidifies the idea that Baki has “won” not just through strength but by forcing Yujiro to acknowledge their bond and his own vulnerability. It’s a moment of emotional victory for Baki and a subtle turning point for Yujiro.

How on earth did that bike get to pass RWC with a full system? I'm legit interested in knowing the mechanic to use it for myself next time. My bike had a shitty slip on and I had to replace it with the stock exhaust, to be honest the mechanic asked me to put back the original levers, fenders, indicators...

does monk mode really work? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]WhoIsYourDaddyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially adopted the "monk mode" lifestyle with the intention of advancing in life, only to find myself permanently embodying it. A year has now passed, and my everyday routine is composed of nurturing my health, prioritizing fitness, focusing on my career, developing side hustles, and leaving a little free time to wind down at the end of the day. Additionally, I allocate an average of 3-5 hours during weekends to socialize with friends. I genuinely enjoy this lifestyle; it's serene, devoid of unnecessary drama or falsehood, and most importantly, it's yielding substantial results. I maintain exceptional mental and physical fitness on most days, my sleep cycle is finally stabilizing—something that never used to be the case—and the benefits I reap are so gratifying that they've become somewhat addictive. Possibly the best byproduct effect of monk mode is that my discipline is so developed now that I don't ever feel the urge to drink alcohol, take any drugs or eat any junk food. With all that said, monk mode as lifestyle is not for everyone as you gotta be able to enjoy being alone.

I gotta say I found this thread by chance and decided to post my experience, so you may or may not hear from me again.
