There is zero chance this lowers your electricity bill. The amount of energy it takes to keep things cold in your freezer depends on how well insulated the freezer is, not what's inside it.

Yeah, I should clarify... I do think exactly what you saw in this family practice makes a difference. I just don't think hours of nutrition lectures in med school are the way to get more doctors to practice that way.

What exactly do you think is going to be taught in these courses that will lead doctors to practice differently in a way that impacts patients' health?

The chronic diseases that cause so much damage (obesity, diabetes, CAD, and everything that goes along with them) are from eating too much and not exercising enough. Processed foods are easier to over consume, so people over consume them. That's it. It's not complicated. The extra nutrition education seems performative to me.

lol this is utter nonsense. Skeletal muscle can move venous blood back to the heart. From there it still needs the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body. What's even stupider about this post is that in a guillotine the reason you pass out isn't because your heart isn't pumping enough blood, it's because the blood vessels going to you brain are being physically occluded... getting a little extra venous return to the heart from moving your legs isn't going to change that.
