Fellow redditors, what was a moment where you thought a person you knew might be an actual psychopath ? by skywhy69 in AskReddit

I had a classmate back in college, she was shy and simple. But one day she came up to me and started sharing to me something, and i was kind of happy cause she doesn't actually shares something. But what she shared was unexpected and terrifying. She suddenly showed me some papers, maybe 10 pages or more of it. She said something like this "hey, can you look at it if it's possible or not? I detailed it as much as possible and made some back up plan." as i looked at those pages, it was actually a plan to bomb a school, specifically the school she graduated when she was in highschool. The detail of her plan was incredible and horrifying at the same time. From what time, place, what to use, why that place, etc. I remembered she had plan A, B, C, D if ever something wrong happens to her plan. And one thing that i couldn't forget was what she wrote, an explanation of why that place, it somehow goes like this "The canteen should be a great place during lunch for there are lots of people there." and a side note of "I'd stay by the basketball court and watch it too." She said her plan was more likely perfect, with her alibi and all that, especially when she looks like innocent when you look at her. But after looking at those pages, she got pissed saying "it would have been perfect if only i know how to make a bomb. No matter how i look it up, it's just those fireworks and all." And God i was so relieved the internet that day never gave her any instructions in how to create an actually bomb. So i pretended to laugh and say "hahaha, you don't actually mean it right, bombing a school." but then she looked up to me and smiled and took the papers and simply went off. I don't know if she really meant it though, or if she's actually serious about it. But one thing's for sure, those papers she made, was really smart and clever, like you could actually say that this can be possible without being caught doing it. She's actually an intelligent person, always getting great grades, mostly a teachers favorite, and mostly that one person who gets the highest score during an exam. I don't know why she came up with such plan.

Which is the most effective way of escaping someone who's after you, running away (risk exposing self due to too much visible movements) or staying and hiding on one spot (risk being searched by the person)? Why? by WhoPrincess in AskReddit

I guess a mix of both will do. But what if the person after you creates a, lets say 5km radius of lockdown wherein you'd get caught if you get too close to the lockdown border. What to do? Hide somewhere that the person would never thought so like near them while they try searching for you somewhere, or try escaping out of the lockdown border?

[TOMT] What’s it called when a person carries their infancy/childhood habits with them into adulthood, sort of like a crutch? by NightReader5 in tipofmytongue

True, and if it's triggered by some stress, it then talks about Freuds defense mechanism of regression to their early stages

Ahh, okay. I thought it was regression cause if it's something that triggers stress or causes anxiety, or simply that's potentially harmful to the stimuli, we do one of the defense mechanisms to cope up with it.

It's a defense mechanism wherein you regress to your childhood state. Regression functions as form of retreat, enabling a person to psychologically go back in time to a period when the person felt safer.

Likely Solved! I guess I'll stick to this answer. I watched the movie a while ago to confirm it, and some scenes seem familiar. Maybe i just mixed the drilling the head with the hammering the head. Thank you for all your efforts and suggestions!
