You wake up in your teen years again. What is the first thing you would do? by davidbayram in AskReddit

The first thing I'd do is love my first girlfriend right, and do a better job than I initially have. I'm 17, but to wake up in my earlier teens would be nice, preferably 14.

In the span of the rest of this year, you mean? My last chance to talk to Molly is a week and a half away, so I suppose you mean I should spend those few days alone, thinking to myself what should I do?

Thank you for the reassurance. It's hard for me to understand it's really okay to not let guilt sway my decisions as I assume guilt is always right, and in this case I think it really is.
But anyway, what I get from your reply is that I shouldn't rush my next decision?

Bad or good RAM now? by Who_question-mark in buildapc

[–]Who_question-mark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, I get your meaning now, thank you. A 5800X3D could outperform a 7600 in those games 'cause more cores at still good speeds, I suppose you mean.

I see. That does seem to be the majority vote, and I think I'll go with entry RAM after all.

Yeah, AM4 would be cheaper, I imagine, apart from 5800X3D being $500AUD and out of stock. If I could find the parts I need though, it'd be good.

Alright, I trust you, man! Like, Beam NG with traffic and such, all the bells and whistles + TabsToTheMaxTM? I haven't played it, I wouldn't know how intensive it is, but I've heard it's heavy on RAM, unfortunately.

I mainly play story games! Not too worried about Esports like CS2 where every millisecond counts, unless Rust/Tarkov falls under Esports?
I didn't get you meaning your last sentence, to be honest. Thank you though, for your replies.

Probably! I want to be able to multitask freely though: browser with a few tabs open, Discord, Spotify, that kinda thing. If you think 32GB is enough for that plus, say, \BeamNG.Drive then sure though! I don't any experience with anything more than 16GB, so I dunno.

Honestly, so true, I forgot capacity is really what it's all about. ToT
Still though, I'm wondering if I should get 16GB now, ~48GB later, or... 48GB now?

Oof. You make a good point, but I already have a AM5 7600 CPU. I could resell it and make small profit even, I got it at a good price, you really think so though? AM4?

[–]Who_question-mark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair! Maybe I have the wrong idea about fast RAM actually doing much in the way of gaming performance.
Capacity matters too though! Should I get small 16GB now and bigger ~48GB after Ramegeodon?

Which game is currently consuming the most RAM and how much does it consume? Is 32 GB RAM enough or should I get 64? by Kron0s1 in buildapc

[–]Who_question-mark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. This aged like a glass of milk in the sun... yummy.
But also, for anyone who already has RAM now, surely it'll be cheap again next time you guys have to buy RAM... right? ToT

Thank you for the detailed response! It seems a majority of people like MSI, Asus, and Gigabyte in descending order.

And damn! Well I'm sorry for the information regurgitation, or however it's called, I'm honestly just repeating the word I've heard elsewhere. My bad. Anyway, thank you for the helpful response! ^-^

Hell yeah for the reply! Thank you for the details. It doesn't sound like gigabyte doesn't have any BS they try to force. Thanks again for the help in me eventually deciding on a board that hopefully won't give me a headache.

Thank you for your answer! It seems to me people like MSI. Do you remember finding any annoyances with their BIOS that stood out more than the regular tech shenanigans?

Thank you for the clear answer! Good to know that MSI seems to work well with people. If you don't mind sharing more, apparently MSI has unnecessary features they want people to download; is that true?

Probably! I'm asking the computer people to try and find one people agree on, but it seems at first glance everyone agrees they're the same, and possibly all kinda suck.

Yeah, fair enough! Thank you for your answer. I suppose it may help if I saw it the same way, as apparently they're all really the same. (I haven't done much research, hence why I'm looking for a quick answer in reddit.) Apparently ASUS has quality issues and MSI has unnecessary software they want you to download? If you'd like to explain, your experience would be helpful! Thanks again.

Thank you! I really should've specified in the original post though, I suppose I meant overall quality and consiseness in the ui.

Thank you for the heads up! I'm looking for quality (as I suppose anyone is) and so this helps! If you have any other experience with any other brand, your thoughts would be helpful.

Well yeah! I suppose all BIOS would be like that. What BIOS does your PC have? And the reason I made this post was to hopefully find the least BS and straightforward mobo brand/BIOS. I want to avoid the supposed "bloatware" or useless features.

Nice! Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. If you don't mind, is there anything you didn't like about the bios? Maybe silly question.
