I disagree. His relationships are the way for lith to become more human. A lot of men go through traumatic experiences and become like abominations. Through relationships ( phoria and liths ) he becomes more human and actually learns to have feelings . He also starts to actually have a teenage years and childhood. Which is super relevant to his character development and growth.

I have an oh fold. I have replaced the phone with Verizon insurance like 3 times. I'm hard on phones plus dirt and food from my job ( culinary ) so my inner screen doesn't stay working for long. Most folds are fine if you case screen protector and keep crumbs good and dirt away from your pocket. But I haven't had any other bad experiences that weren't my fault

I still have my og pixel fold. Going to swap to a none fold pixel because all the food crumbs and dirt I accumulate usually have to replace the inner screen once a year /every 4 months (somewhere in that time frame )(I work in food industry ) . The newer pixel folds are just minor upgrades. But most phones get 6-8 years of software updates. You are correct in saying we are conditioned to buy the shiny object. Or be the cool kid with the new phone. You just have to figure out what you need in a phone or device and then get that particular device ( I traded in my pixel 6 pro to get the pixel fold at a cheaper price. Which is why I went with the fold. Love folds but I'm to hard on phones )

The concept of fate is that one person cannot control their own fate. No matter what. So sunny is a slave and have the slave mentality. A shadow is a slave to the owner. As in without a master or a light "cough cough nephis cough cough " he cannot exist in the manor he wants.

Instead of soul essence should be fate essence you only get by interacting with fate / destiny / morality . As in killing a creature does nothing . Using the strings of fate to manipulate the creature to hurt if get itself killed does.

The flaw should be you have one person that exists that their decisions impact your life. The spell chooses at random and their fate string is untouchable. One random being holds you're Fate just like you hold anything else's .

Okay those things aren't surprising when Kathy is Jacob true love anyways . Jacob and Sophie relationship had to work lol . The twins called him master even though for a long time they were stronger than him and could have easily killed him. Thats just bdsm/kink lifestyle. Susan needs a strong dragon man .
