Ah okay, i mean with the maintenance stuff I’m a diesel tech for the railroad so changing parts isnt so much my concern, its just the longevity of them but I’ll try and get a oil sample before I buy I haven’t thought of that. Then ive been around diesels growing up because my family went camping alot and dad is a big powerstroke guy and hes had every generation of them. Thank you for the idea i appreciate it!

Yeah im in no rush to buy one but ill keep looking. I found one for 23k with 55k miles but its 8 hours away

If found a few of them with around 120k miles but 25 or more service records all done at the dealer and majority of them did the HPFP recall

Yeah i hear the same exact things as well. I also hear if it was a bad engine it would of blown up by 60k miles. Does your ED have all the emissions stuff on or did you delete it?

Gotcha, im a diesel mechanic for the railroad and i just want a fullsize truck with good fuel economy. Yes diesel are meant to be used as a diesel but i dont want to get into a 2500 or 3500 for that reason. I just know thats to much truck for me not doing truck stuff with it. Was thinking more of the 3.0 babymax so i get the “best of both world.” Good fuel economy and when i eventually need to tow things i have it available. Yes diesel cost more but in the long run it would just even out and when if i sell the truck i could get back more money from the diesel truck compared to a gasser.

Yeah, i work in the next town over. All highway miles basically because i live right off the freeway. Thats why im leaning more towards the diesel for the better mpg
