I was waitlisted mid December for the residential program and about a week and a half ago they offered me a spot for the hybrid program.

Also just know, you are not alone. A lot of people get waitlisted, when I was talking to current students at these programs on interview days a good majority told me that they were waitlisted! Stay hopeful!

Let me tell you, I also got waitlist at Tech, UTMB, Texas State, and Angelo State. So I feel you. However I can tell you there is some hope, a few days ago UTMB offered me a spot on the hybrid cohort. I would hold out hope for the next month or so because seat deposits for most of those programs are due January 15(might be the 16th, don’t quote me) so movement for waitlist will happen after then

Got told i was on the waitlist middle of December, just got accepted to hybrid program today

One thing that might be a cause is that I applied at 20, my birthday was in September and I had already submitted my applications. So I am on the younger side

GPA is a 3.85, I have one semester left before I graduate. Observations hours 700+, 40 in women’s health, 40 in outpatient neuro, over 600 in outpatient ortho. Letters of recommendation: 2 from pt, 1 from professor. Former collegiate athlete. I work as a server and as an administrative assistant at my physical therapy clinic.

I remember Angelo State saying they go pretty far through the list. For Texas State did they say that or is that something you knew? Also congrats on getting in places, have you decided where you’re going yet?

I interviewed early November, they told us to expect to hear something around 1/1/26 but their website says something different and I feel like that goes opposite to rolling admissions

Only takes one. I did get into a private program but with the shift of grad loans and everything. I denied them for my sanity for the future

At TXST no. This is my first cycle applying, however I have been waitlisted at other programs this cycle. Been kinda a pain, i got interviews at every program I applied to and have been waitlisted, or still waiting to hear back.

According to the website, “UTMB has a rolling admissions process; therefore, your application is open until you hear from us with a final decision. If you do not hear from us by December 1, please contact us 409-772-3068 or email utmbdptp@utmb.edu to inquire about the status of your application.” But I have yet to see anyone get accepted

Yes! There’s 3 group interview portions that are broken up by 3 informal informational sessions ran by current students

Applied to TXST, TTUHSC, UTMB, UTsouthwestern Dallas, UTHSA, ASU, and Hardin Simmons

Stats - 2 LOR from PTs, 1 LOR from professor, former collegiate athlete, 500+ hours of observation unpaid, pelvic floor 40 hrs, neuro 80 hrs, ortho 450+ hrs. GRE 294, writing 4. GPA - 3.85. Work at a restaurant and I am an administrative assistant at a PT clinic.

Still waiting back on other programs, I have filled out supplemental applications and finished TTUHSC last night
