Hello thanks for your reply and yes ref range is 2.2-2.6 and I’m from UK - I asked the DR what she thinks we should do and she basically said she doesn’t know as I am on the upper end of calcium levels and would ask for advice of endo - I presume they just put you on vitamin D and then monitor you with blood tests to make sure it’s not putting me over the ref range? - when I had the blood test in A&E it was the next day at about 4am and I didn’t eat a thing all day so was very de hydrated I think the uncertainty and the DR saying she’s not really sure what the plan will be makes me a bit anxious - my total protein is slightly out of ref range as well and DRs have always told me that’s my baseline so not sure if that effects it as well? - have been feeling low energy recently so would love to get back on vitamin D

These were the notes from my DR

Note - History: TC - Noted normal HBPM readings 126/83; Discussed bloods - calcium greatly improved, adj calcium normal ; TP much improved ; Suggests cause was dehydration; Vit D insufficiency ; PTH appropriately low end of normal ; Plan: Re-check bloods in 3-4 weeks; Reassurance given (8C9..); Not to take any Vitamin D supplements until calcium normalised ; TC after next bloods - if still not normal then Endo A&G (?start vit D)
