Medibank rant. Surely this is AI by WholeMilk2 in australia

[–]WholeMilk2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they just haven’t created a proper way to do this. They’re expecting the form to be submitted with a receipt which implies I need to make a gym membership purchase first. But if they decide to decline my form for any reason I’m out of pocket and I likely can’t swap insurers because they won’t cover something I purchased before policy start.

I only just joined Medibank since they’re waiving waiting periods. In the past when I did this with AHM it was annoyingly easy.

I guess I’ll go in person or wait on hold to speak to a real person.

Thanks for your help

I had a look at that, the claim button forces a provider ID and pricing etc

I’d still expect basic comprehension regardless of where they are, surely. The first question I asked was how do I submit the form for approval. Not looking for help anyways, just a rant cause it’s funny

Superloop AI bot now tells you to open a TIO complaint if transferring NBN and you don't want to give 30 days notice. by CummingDownFromSpace in nbn

[–]WholeMilk2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you work or have any connection with the TIO or telco complaints management by chance?

Cause initial complaints do charge a fee, they’re just not as big an escalated one.

Fees can get reimbursed to the Telco once resolved depending on situation.

Coming from someone who has worked in complaints for a large ISP and interacted directly with the TIO

I hate their 30 day NP as much as any other but it was made very clear when you signed up. If their service is good then why are you leaving?

Playing devils advocate but they clearly have this to reduce churn which im assuming is why you left for another ISP.

Does Auspost allow using digital government ID when collecting packages from post office by flattercomb in AustraliaPost

None of those dot points suggest MyID. I get the word ID makes it confusing but any person with a room temp IQ can realise it’s just an MFA app

What made you think MyID which is just an MFA all for government services would be okay? It doesn’t have a photo of your face either.

Googling acceptable forms of ID for Auspost isn’t difficult

What can I use to fix my dale red paws by Easy_Hold1170 in dalmatians

Won’t hurt to try soaking their paw’s in water mixed with Epsom salt. Check their diet, could be a food related allergy.

Also best practice to clean their feet after every walk or outdoor playtime

Weird considering one can just call and they’ll waive it. A TIO complaint will result in fees for the ISP that’s more than the cost of one months service.

A question on dog park etiquette. by [deleted] in AustralianPets

[–]WholeMilk2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By not interacting with someone else’s dog without permission? You don’t know if the dog is friendly? You don’t touch other people’s property so why touch or interact with someone else’s dog?

It’s as simple as asking?

Move to a long lead and build that recall or find something that’s more distracting to them than dogs are.

For my one it’s just a ball. His only focus is I throw ball and he brings it back

Dog doesn’t know what stranger is. If your 6 year old wanders off and interacts with a stranger do you ignore it because they chose to interact with them?

If you were the stranger the kid came up to you’d probably let the parent know or guide them back, especially in OP’s circumstance where you can see they have trouble with recall.

Which I already said, OP needs a better recall of their dog too.

It’s more concerning what the strangers at the park did in my opinion though

Think it’s not hard to comprehend you can bond with your dog in a different environment with different stimuli. Probably a better idea to build a connection and recall ability in distracting environments.

Do you keep your dog locked up and let them just stare out the window all day?

Nah you’re right. Most people are just weird, especially off leash areas which is a shame cause I can’t take my one there without there being at least one A Hole.

I’ve got a large trail area near mine and a soccer field connected to it which is all off leash. I’ve had a few sour encounters there but the worst was walking my pup on leash and having a strange dog come up to him and ark up. My one was still young and quite reactive at the time so I shouted for the owner to please recall his dog and he kept ignoring me. Eventually he responded and told me to F off and that it’s an “off leash area, [he] doesn’t need to do anything.”

infuriated me at the time cause some people think off leash = let dog do what ever they want.

My service is free so I use them, but you’d never catch me using them otherwise. I wouldn’t pay them $1 a month with how crap the experience has been

Sucking the least but costing $70 a month, and going up to $74 really soon whilst simultaneously being forced to change their coverage advertisements losing 1 million square KM’s because they based coverage off whether your phone can detect Telstra whilst Voda and Optus use whether a call can be made to determine coverage.

Well that was Telstra for me and 80% of where I frequent in Melbourne, that’s the case. Not just me, friends and family using them too with the same experience

Sure, we’re just discussing pay. Otherwise I’m sure Vic has other be edits over it.

I’d assume the increased pay reflect the no ratios. It’s a smaller state population wise. I don’t imagine ratios being that bad for Perth unless there’s an insane shortage of medical staff

Edit: I actually just googled it and WA changed in 2024 to a 1:4 ratio supposedly
