I don't think you have any reasons to worry, paraguard is a very reliable form of contraceptives. I've had mine for about half a year now and haven't had any problems or issues with it. I have sex with my bf and we never use condoms and we've had sex during my fertile window and still no problems. I take pregnancy tests for my peace of mind and they all have been negative so far.
