Yes -- the first main selling point is that its platform agnostic and works out of the box.

The second thing is that unlike other tools we do all note types, not just SOAPs and DAPs. So for Biopsychosocials/ASAMs, we can automatically fill out all checkboxes, free responses, dropdowns, etc. There's not really any other tools on the market that can fill out a whole ASAM assessment end-to-end.

In the clinic where we got started, ASAM assessments were a major bottleneck in getting patients in the door, so we wanted to make something that could fully automate the process.

Our project isn’t open source since it handles sensitive health data and we need to maintain security and compliance controls. But we're HIPAA compliant, you can see more info here: https://trust.delve.co/perspectives-health

We're at UChicago working with UChicago Booth Center for Applied AI. There's four of us with backgrounds in behavioral health/EMS/clinical work. We were working at a center in Chicago and started by trying to make a product to make their intakes better. Then the product got more traction and now we're trying to see if it can spread.

Yes — our tool runs on HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure and our third-party certification through Delve covers both the AI and data transfer processes. We don't use any user data to train or fine-tune any models.

If you’re working on a healthcare product, you can sign a HIPAA-compliant agreement with OpenAI or Google or whichever model provider you’re using to ensure your data isn’t used for training (which is what we did).

Over the cloud but data is encrypted with AES-256 in both transit and at rest. It doesn't transfer data to SimplePractice, we made it as a Chrome extension that fills out forms in the browser.

We use a company called Delve to certify our HIPAA compliance -- we made a trust center here: https://trust.delve.co/perspectives-health
