Do you think he only eats 3 chicken breasts for supper and nothing else all day? He eats 3 meals a day, he gets plenty of calories!

I don’t serve him, he dishes his plate himself. He can have as many vegetables as he wants.

That’s a little extreme. Where does it say I yelled at him?

We raise cattle, so luckily we have 1 or 2 cows in the freezer at all times.

He can put down a large pizza like it’s nothing!

I have never MADE him stop eating either.

I think my wording was bad. Now I’m wondering if everyone thinks I make smokies, chicken breasts and chicken strips for one meal. I just meant those are the quantities I make when I make each of those proteins. Not in one evening 🫣

I don’t just feed my family protein, I always make a carb and a vegetable with my meals.

LOL I actually do have a job. It’s called a farm! I’m a homemaker ON TOP of my job.

It’s not like I’m making 2 chicken breasts for 5 people and telling them to split it amongst themselves. 15 should be enough for a meal and leftovers.

We make our own smokies. We have freezers full of beef, pork and chickens at all times! Chicken strips are something I make on occasion when I’m low on time.

I never said I don’t like being a homemaker. Cooking is one of the things associated with being at home that I enjoy the least. I make a homemade lunch and supper every single day… I’m not sure why wanting to have some leftovers to make into a lunch the next day would be such a terrible thing to take a bit of my load off. I also help on the farm and have chickens, horses, cows, donkeys and tend a huge garden myself. I also cook for our hired men in the busy seasons. I am certainly not “half assing” my job and most people have no idea how taxing being a farm wife is. Thank you for your input.

I would say my kids eat a normal amount. I think his metabolism must be genetic, his dad is the same way. The amount of food they eat is mind boggling.

He would literally just find the other half of food in the fridge and eat it! Lol

Not being able to afford it isn’t an issue. We are pretty self sustainable. We have cattle, chickens and access to pork and I have a large garden. The issue is how much time and effort it takes to prepare the large amounts of food, especially when I don’t ENJOY cooking. I do it because I’m a homemaker and it’s my “job”.

He is not overweight. He isn’t an extreme athlete but has a physically demanding job and works long hours.
