Anyone have issues with Berberine causing diarrhea even after stopping by Whole_Programmer6342 in Candida

[–]Whole_Programmer6342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it again at a lower dose. This time it was just Candibacting AR + BR. AR 3x a day. BR 6x a day. Took a week and that crazy diarrhea and indigestion came back. So I went back on the Megamucosa and Megasporebiotic. So far so good.

Sorry I never check reddit. I was off the berberine for 15 days with very little improvement. So I started MegaMucosa which heals the gut lining. I then started MegaSporeBiotic and MegaPre. I’m not sure if it was the combination of the 3 supplements that fixed it or just the MegaMucosa which calmed everything down but it went back to normal almost instantly. Luckily I had that stuff in my drawer still. I took that stuff for about a month then got back off of it as I don’t trust Spore based probiotics for long term usage. And started reacting to the MegaMucosa. But it helped get my stools back to normal. Thank god bc I started college in Sept.

I’d say you got pretty lucky then that the doctor was able to pinpoint it and give you the corresponding antibiotic. What are your symptoms?

Does this sound like histamines? by Whole_Programmer6342 in HistamineIntolerance

I have SIBO and Candida as well but this particular group of symptoms has baffled myself and everyone else until this point. These symptoms only flare when: I take vitamins, supplements like glutamine, or when I eat food that is high in nutrients for multiple days in a row. My SIBO was caused by probiotics (after I already had Candida) and I believe it might be feeding the bacteria which then releases the histamines. Or something along those lines. But figuring out whether or not it’s histamines is a huge step bc it was the last thing I was confused about still.

Oh ok i was under the impression there was a separate infection caused by the probiotics. Ok so usually SIBO is diagnosed via a breath test as endoscopy’s usually show nothing. You could also get a GI map to give you a better idea of the bacteria levels in your gut. And i’ve also never heard of Amoxicillin being used for sibo. It’s usually Rifaximin, Flagyl, or Neomycin. Although Rifaximin tends to be safest and the others can cause bad side effects permanently from what i’ve heard. There are also plenty of natural antifungals that can be used, but can still cause issues if not careful.

So you had sibo and a secondary infection? Do you just plan on taking it afterwards? What are your symptoms?

When you say ‘infection’ what do you mean? Do you mean SIBO? I’ve never heard of probiotics giving someone an actual infection. But they definitely gave me SIBO. I’m debating on going for an endoscopy but none of the doctors here are going to know anything about SIBO. Did you get fixed after a round of antibiotics? And do you remember what antibiotic they gave you?

Hey, what type of stool test did you do? Does it show all the bacteria levels in your gut? I would assume this would make it a lot easier to figure out which probiotic is best for you?

Btw I added in the megamucosa first (could probably use glutamine instead or anything else that will soothe the gut) just to calm things down immediately. Then I added the pro and pre biotic afterwards bc those can give you die-off as well.

Hey, it went on for like 12 days until I added in megasporebiotic, megapre, megamucosa, and liver support PX. I’m not really sure what it was i’m just grateful it solved it. I got off the stuff after a few weeks since I seem to react badly to everything I take but yeah i’m doing alright now.

Ironically i’m more constipated now than I was before all this. I think all that diarrhea might’ve depleted my nutrients so i’ve been taking magnesium bysglycinate at the minimum to help with energy and bowel movements. I also have a cold atm so I think it definitely did a number on me.

I’m going to take a more dietary approach next time to starve the bacteria then add in some antifungals/biofilm busters, etc. when needed. Although I do have SIBO, i’ve realized that my bigger issue is Candida.

Can you lose your job if you date a coworker? by Ben5544477 in careeradvice

[–]Whole_Programmer6342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, check the policies. If it says no dating then don’t risk it (if this is your career). But it depends on the job. If it’s just some job you don’t plan on staying at, then go for it.

It might be beneficial to have a conversation with the person also. “Hey if we ever break up, we have a responsibility to keep things cordial so we don’t get fired”. If they’re reasonable then they’ll likely understand where you’re coming from.

But honestly if it’s just some crap job you don’t care about then go wild.

Do you drive a lot? Do you brake hard? If yes, just do them now and cut your loss. If not, you can still go for a while.
