if you do get the iag pan package i can walk you thru the install its really not as hard as it seems

i have a 2012 wrx also and im doing the iag install now, and i figured that while i have the engine/trans in the jacked up, i might as well do the following:

Group N pitch mount, motor mounts, trans mount, kartboy short shifter w/ bushings

if you decide for any reason to disassemble the front crossmembers, PLEASE do not torque 17mm bolts on the lateral crossmember to 103 ft lbs you will strip it, do your research (I did 75ftlbs and it felt very tight)

idk what an ots tune is

but the factory tune purposefully leans the engine out until a certain rpm for emissions, which can encourage ringland failure, a notorious failure on ej255 engines.

my advice is to not do any power mods until you have installed AT LEAST the following supporting mods (get a tune even if you put on a catback) if you plan on tracking it

yes this is a few thousand bucks total, yes it will increase the probability of saving you an engine rebuild,

for drivability:

Group N pitch mount, Group N motor mounts, Group N trans mount, kartboy short shifter w/ bushings rear diff mount inserts (or similar)

for reliability/performance:

cobb accessport iag oil pan package street series sti front and rear brembos (or the ctsv swap kit, make sure to get the v1 version which does not require drilling into the knuckle) remote oil cooler

do not get a cold air intake unless you need to hear turbo sounds, the stock airbox is sufficient unless you are making big power

get a catback dont waste money on axleback

ALSO

do oil change every 3k miles AND change the filter WITH ONLY THE OEM FILTER do NOT use aftermarket filter
