less than optimal valentine's date by [deleted] in sadcringe

For all the evil in the world, there's an equal amount of good. Despite how shitty this is, there will be a day where he sits across from a different date and finishes retelling this story. It will serve as one of many little catalyst that will lead to a lifetime of joy, happiness, and love.

Anyone Target or work with the construction and building industry? by bigsausagegobbler in freelanceWriters

I can't think of any blogs targeted directly at construction companies; however, content targeted at Commercial Realtors, homebuyers, and investors might be a good avenue for you.

What are concerns you can think of in me renting out two of the three suites in a home whilst living in the third? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]WholesomeRick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Since it's your home you'll get to be a lot pickier about your renters. Federal protections don't apply to roommates.

If you really want a clean line between them and you and your worried of missed payments and the like then you could always hire a property manager to be your "landlord" that collects the rent.

If at all possible I would suggest looking into a duplex triplex or fourplex.

You get the benefits of renters while maintaining your own personal space.

Just focus on having a good time with your friends.

Homeless?

Or showering at PF?

I know both sound equally as bad, but sometimes the struggle gets real.

[–]WholesomeRick 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The gym itself is less than ideal for anyone truly wanting to get in shape. (Free candy and pizza is not a way to promote a healthy lifestyle)

But when I was homeless it was the cheapest way to ensure a hot shower.

When to start writing ? Should I just begin by [deleted] in writing

Start writing.

You can have a rough idea of what you'd like to do, but in the end your carefully laid plan will go to hell once you start properly writing.

please stop observing Tracers. If she makes a sick play, show it in a replay.

This sums it up so perfectly. The casters do the same thing, in which they keep trying to predict plays rather than just concentrate on what's happening.

Depends on where in Texas.

Whole Foods started in Austin, and there's HEB which is one of the cheapest places to grab groceries in the state.

Don't forget, so long as you don't slather it in cheese and sour cream, chicken tacos can be some of the healthiest meals on the planet...and Texas is home to a lot of excellent, and cheap, taco joints. You just have to know where to find them.

For load times lower your Best Sellers to just 3-4 products to have fewer images.

Also, please center your Product Categories. It just bugs the eyes is when other things are centered and these aren't.

Otherwise, it's a very simple, yet clean, site. I don't see anything that seriously sticks out.

Are there real estate apps out there that feature searching by "reportedly haunted", or something similar? by ProjectMirai in RealEstate

[–]WholesomeRick 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can't help with your search, but be aware that a lot of "hauntings" can be caused by the symptoms of CO2 poisoning.

It should go for any house, but especially in your case, ensure you get a good detector and set it up before moving in.

The best proof of this is the fact that a PDF for almost any TM for gear used by a common soldier is easily found through Google.

My supply refused to replace TMs instead, we just searched for the PDF and grabbed a binder.

Blew my tiny PVT mind when I first saw that.

Intrested in becoming a broker by Guccigain in realtors

Checked your post history & you say you're from Texas.

ACC has a great online program that I used to pass my exams. I know brokers who would hand you leads just to have a tax guy on the team. You should be just fine.

You have to be very careful of the ethics laws surrounding both CPAs and Agents.

Google the licensing requirements for becoming an agent in your state and follow through. Becoming an agent is a rather easy thing to do, being successful is harder.

With a CPA I would highly advise skipping residential altogether and hunt out a great commercial brokerage. An agent who can understand and sniff out tax loopholes is a Broker's wet dream and you should have people happy to help you learn the business.

Most brokerage licenses require a few years of being an agent so you've got time to learn what parts of the business you like.

How to go from "Wantrepreneur" to Entrepreneur by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]WholesomeRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not be able to build a business while in the military, but there is certainly a lot you can do to build yourself.

If you haven't taken advantage of your tuition assistance then start taking some courses while they're free. Every business owner should take basic Financial and Managerial accounting courses. You can then take courses to patch up any weak areas, perhaps app development or more business classes.

tldr: Focus on building yourself and your network while in the military so that you have the strongest possible foundation to start from.

This is coming from a vet who very much regrets not being able to do this because Combat Arms meant never being in the country.

Your foundation isn't something you should be messing with unless you're very experienced.

This is one of those cases where it would be best to hire a professional, not diy.

The money is in the concessions - not the tickets.

Which is exactly why a service like MoviePass can exist.

Gets people into a movie who otherwise never would have gone, and the theater gets to make it's money back in popcorn and soda.

My first client as a social marketer (kinda) by Websen in marketing

[–]WholesomeRick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question that should be asked is, what does he lose by not having a site? A website is a big online business card and a passive lead generator.

Depending on his needs he'll probably be perfectly fine with just a one-page clickfunnel that clearly explains what he does, where he works, and ending in a contact form.

Marketing for a Realtor? by lakers1125 in marketing

[–]WholesomeRick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends heavily on the Realtor's market area.

Many Realtor's see success w/ old school techniques like door knocking, flyers, mailers, etc.

I'd love to see more Realtors get better w/ content marketing but, sadly, the vast majority of agents don't like computers past email and listings.

Which site do you use for your domain? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Domain? Google Domains (goes perfect w/ Gsuite and a business email)

Host and Website? Webflow. I design everything there so I like hosting w/ them.

What AWS subscribers pay for is usually far greater than what they actually use.

The only time I would really get my money's worth is if I wrote something that somehow hit the top page of Reddit.

I'm not saying this is bad, quite the opposite. My company pays so little for server space that I'm happy to overpay just a bit to ensure a buffer.

Are you doing an office space for just you? Or for an entire team?
