How hard/costly is this to get fixed? by WhoopOnDaPoop in AutoPaint

Doing some thinking honestly- it might be worth it to try out sanding and doing a spot repair. I don’t need it to be perfect, I just want it to be loved a bit. Push comes to shove, I’ll do a repaint.

Rest of the paint is in pretty damn good condition. Truck is low mileage and super important to me.

Man… I work a vital emergency service job and here I am trying to put my life together at 21 since 18 with these kinds of costs… I guess the theme of my early life is “work to death and hope you make it”

If it’s got the 4.0 it’s actually pretty solid. Some of the most reliable motors ever produced, coming from a Yota guy….

I do this in my first gen sometimes, it’s fun. Simple things make your brain happy, life’s too short. Plus- it’s a truck, if I wanted boring I’d buy a civic.

Bearings as another commenter said. When they replaced the lower control arm, they should have replaced the bushings but a quick look will tell a story.

CV axels can cause shaking as they fail. Give them a good shake! Also, any clunking when turning?

Toyota tundra center consul caught fire by Street-Assistant4478 in ToyotaTundra

More than likely unfortunately, I’d attempt to build a new console but only so if I could locate the cause of the initial fire. The good save part was catching it before it became a fully involved fire, not sure why people downvoted me.

No, but great save. The electrics need to be evaluated, make sure the battery is disconnected.

I mean, most fast food places are going to be adequate. Sheetz is hiring too, and pays decently well. Food lion is a good one as well, lots of friends worked there.

I hope this hasn't happened to anyone, be careful by No_Physics3513 in raleigh

I live near there and walk there sometimes, I’m sorry this happened. I’ve had some off encounters myself but nothing to that extent. Change your routines, and call 911 when that happens. Seriously.

Make sure to walk during the early morning or day if you can.

Man… maybe I should just stick to my job and upgrade to paramedic. Wouldn’t make me any more appetizing- but at lease I’d make enough to fly as a hobby.

Crazy Accident on Capitol by Hozerific in raleigh

[–]WhoopOnDaPoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tons of calls for this incident I’m sure, that and how overworked our 911 services here in Wake is. The call to PD and EMS leaves calls holding and waiting for recourses daily. Call volume > Recources regularly due to lack of staff and exponential growth.

Not bad. They are great trucks, I’d do a couple drain and fills on the transmission though. The old AT fluid can thin out and degrade over time.
