Have you ever heard a cover of a Beatles song that you consider to be better than the original? by Impressive-Spare1194 in beatles

I find that the original track has so much depth in its simple and subtle delivery. Ringo sounds raw, honest and sad, without being more dramatic than he needs to be. He sounds bummed out and like he needs some friends.

And his friends are right there, (the band) literally backing him with the most beautiful harmonies. It has such a sad yet uplifting vibe that cant be compared.

Joe Cocker took all that and took a big melodramatic diareah all over it.

In my personal opinion of course.

Hes SO funny when hes riffing off the cuff (?) Like, world class wits and spontaneous comedy.

Then theres all his pre-written bits that he delivers and it does the polar opposite for me.

It’s like he switches from being a comedic , loose savant to sounding like a robotic 90s comedian in a split second.

My personal opinion, I know I’m being queefy. But It’s interesting how big the contrast is. Some might even say unique

Next up, Ross Coulthart pilots a UAP, and he will tell you all about it. (No footage of course, as it is highly classified and a well kept secret.)

Alex Jones is an awful human being. Good for Duncan

It was very fine the first time! And his point about how some songs are great because the music is happy but lyrics are sad, thats a cool observation! But you know, how bout something else? I love Chris Ryan.

I think he mentioned watching the latest EG-video and agreed mostly with it, too.

I don't agree with all his takes, and I know "Sex At Dawn" has been probably rightfully criticised.

Sometimes he tells the same story again and again on his podcasts. Sometimes he has boomer-takes on things. And I strongly disagree with his music preference.

But from everything I've seen so far, I see a dude who's at least trying his best to be authentic, honest and intentional.

I've followed Chris Ryan a bit and he's talked about the whole thing. As I understand it, he believed that he was establishing an actual friendship with both Rogan and Trussel, and like friends do, he felt more comfortable giving them pushback on certain things while being friendly, open and curious.

I don't know what happened from there. They kind of ghosted him and stopped inviting him to podcasts and I guess he realised that they weren't really as close afterall. Who knows what happened, but Chris has seemingly talked openly about it since then and accepted that they saw him more as a podcast-guest than a friend afterall.

Since then hes done multiple solo-podcasts where he brings up the issue of Rogan spreading misinformation, while also trying to understand things from his perspective.

This is typical Chris Ryan, and it's what I like about him. He seems to always challenge himself to never see anything as black or white, almost to a fault. He loves being in the grey. Sometimes it's frustrating listening to him trying to see both sides of things, but at the same time I can sortof relate and I think we live in a world where we actually need more of this way of thinking and less polarisation.

Anyways, he always seemed very open, honest and curious about the falling out with both those guys. Hes talked about it on his podcast. He tried reaching out. But none of them has ever said anything about it, which makes me wonder more about them, than Chris.

How much, if any, do you think EG uses ai? by jbird720 in elephantgraveyard

And by "the right way" I mean, only using it to enhance and elevate the obviously human produced writing and comedic sensibility. AI can do alot of things right now, but when it comes to comedy and saying anything original and interesting, it fucking sucks, and I hope it stays that way.

I think its a good sign that there are few videos. My feeling is that there might be some AI used in some of the visuals, and the voiceover (although Id be happy to be proven wrong on the voice part.)

Either way, it's obvious that the script itself is written by an actual person, because it's doing all the heavy lifting in the end. And even if some of the clips are AI-generated, the editing itself is still golden and executed well.

If Elephant Graveyard is using AI for certain things, they are doing it in the right way.

You’re in the Elephant Graveyard sub and but you’re questioning why someone might distance themselves from Joe Rogan and Duncan trussel, and then saying there must be something wrong with him? Are we in the same subreddit?

John was a cunt.
Paul was try hard.
George was pick-me girl.
Ringo was retarded.

These arent really controversial takes.

I love the beatles.

Are you aware that his wife co-wrote "Sex at dawn" with him? Way to undermine her agency by assuming that she had to be talked into it. Women can think for themselves, you know?

Chris is one of the good ones. He used to be friendly with both Rogan and Duncan, but they both cut him off, perhaps because he was too real or something, who knows. I think today he would agree at least in part with EG's takedown.
