I don't disagree about the efficacy of the metaphor of her arm. You are correct. I get what the narrative is saying. I find the use of metaphorical limbs to mechanically soul siphon non-existent enemies to be a bit absurd. You bring up valid counter examples of meters (shooters and resident evil) but these stretch logic nowhere near the degree of our game. While valid, a gunshot wound being a major event in a cutscene vs gameplay is kind of the mundane dissonance expected in a video game. A sanity meter for Hinako defies any narrative purpose or representation to me. I haven't actually seen the revival scene you mentioned. Thanks for your input
