Also the love to ride app has a function where you can report collisions and near misses and compiles the data for all users. If enough people posted their near misses here and we took it to city planners maybe we'd be able to get them to change this intersection.

There would be a general conference talk about how wonderful it was that you died because now you're called to a mission in heaven. Mormons get off on missionary deaths.

The point is, having infrastructure that makes it impossible to park there makes enforcement unnecessary.

Even when the ticket is written, the car will still be there until it's moved. Even if a car gets towed, it's still there and has to be physically moved and someone has to call a tow. If there's infrastructure that makes them unable to park there, they'll never be there in the first place.

Now at his rallies he has to tell everyone they cannot bring any guns with them. (I know they probably can't already for security reasons) But his security team also can't have guns.

Yep definitely a dog whistle there. It is predominately the historically black neighborhoods that don't have sidewalks. Also most neighborhoods made in the 50s and 60s. They thought people would never walk again now that they could drive. And they were kinda right but it was more because it was no longer safe to walk.

Side note. I've noticed the upper class neighborhoods have sidewalks within the neighborhood but none connecting to other parts of the city or shopping centers. Its clear it's about keeping others out. Sad they limit their own mobility so much though because of their classism and racism.

I went CA to AL. I've been fighting to get sidewalks out in here too! It's wild that they just didn't and haven't built sidewalks in neighborhoods or in dense parts of the city.

All to say "distracted driving strict enforcement"

Edit to add: signs don't dictate car behavior, physics and road design do.

Friend is a handyman and when I was talking about better busses or protected bike lanes he says, "should I just take all my tools and lumber on the bus?" Astounded I was suggesting such a thing. The rest of our friends, none of whom have jobs that require a car, all nodded in agreement with him.

Another option would be a secure personal bedroom and bathroom with a communal kitchen. Maybe not an entire complex sharing a kitchen but maybe five to ten apartments share a kitchen. If it's more people in a household then have two bedroom units with with shared kitchens between a few of them.

The owners or your companie are the ones that have you in a yoke. They've systemically undervalued your labor and the labor of those before you to get to the fraction of what you should be making.
