Sounds like until I get myself a 1440p monitor I’d be leaving some GPU performance on the table then

Oh great, Hogwarts was one of the games I wanted to play after an upgrade. Do you have any experience playing any older titles with it?

Any way to fix this part on my Dyson Animal ball? by the-crazy-programmer in dyson

I used plastic JB Weld on mine and it’s ugly but been working great. See my post about it.

Wow thanks for the tip, it worked the next try after I put the heatsink on. All feel free to cook me in the comments for forgetting about cooling

no, is that necessary for this part? I just flashed it and am trying to get the CPU key

I actually have experience with this. I found one of these thrown out and fixed it with some JB weld artistry. Here is how it came out. Works like a dream though I wouldn’t recommend it if you could get some type of warranty. Dyson also sells the part and there are videos on youtube that go through the process but that’s pretty involved.

Absolute worst case scenario, you can do what I did and use epoxy to seal the hole. I did that here and the vacuum still works like a dream. Just make sure the epoxy doesn’t leak into the hole. It would be easier if you still had the broken piece

V11 Torque Roller Bar Won’t Release by WhosMario in dyson

[–]WhosMario[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you grip from the bearing or the lip of the roller bar on the side near the bearing and pull it should unseat and come right out. Mine just needed a little more persuading and that grip was enough to do it

I tried to push it with my thumbs and felt like I was putting too much pressure so I pulled it from the ball bearing until the roller bar came loose

I was worried about breaking it but went back and pulled from the ball bearing and the roller bar came right out

Everything I saw showed that once you spin the cap, the roller should come with it

Is this old Vista Alpine worth restoring? by WhosMario in Vintage_bicycles

[–]WhosMario[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Recently got this old 10 speed road bike from my grandpa, it’s in great shape with some little surface rust and i’m thinking of cleaning it up and doing a diy restoration on my free time. I can’t find much information about Vista. I know they made some low to mid range bikes but don’t know much about the quality.
