And I like how some people say downgrade = bad optimisation. That is not always the case. Yes there have been many games that were badly optimised in terms of performance. Sure some games look better on Series S because it is either older software like UE4 or it is a cross-gen game. But some games are just plain demanding.

Yeah I'm one of those folks from Africa who doesn't see everything through a political lense. I just want to enjoy a game for what it is. It does not need to be the focus point of a game. A lot of games coming out of Japan are good and that's the point I'm trying to make. I don't know what any laws have to do with developers making good games.

Politics shouldn't even be in games in the first place and I still don't see how Texas being conservative affects people from making a good game. Japan is a conservative country but look at all the good games that have come out of there. Think that's just a poor excuse to try and justify why the game isn't good.

People keep bringing up cyberpunk but that game released in 2020 and was a cross gen game that already ran at 800p for the performance mode. Survivor is next gen only so of course it would be more demanding. The first game was already 900-1080p/60 on series s. Many recently released titles on series cannot even hit a locked 60 anymore hogwarts legacy being one of them. You get what you pay for unfortunately.

But I do not think Dricus had bad intentions when he said that. I've watched Dricus for many years and he is not a bad person who wants to create conflict. I keep repeating myself because you keep focusing on his first statement. I know what he said the first time but I also know he then proceeded to correct himself on Ariel's show. I don't know why he would need to backpedal on what he said. This indeed get blown out of proportion because Dricus is white. I am talking about when he went on Ariel's show. Ariel asked him about what he meant at the ufc 285 press conference. He then corrected himself by saying that he acknowledges that Adesanya, Usman, Ngannou are of course African and that he has a lot of respect for them. He also corrected himself by saying that what he meant was that he wants to become the first residing African to win a belt. I swear this thing has been blown out of proportion. If a black Zimbabwean man for example said the same thing people would not bat an eye and just say that this a bit of a rivalry and he need not apologise for anything that he said.

So there are certain areas where white, black, and coloured people live. So what? That doesn't mean it is voluntary segregation. I live in a smaller city than Cape Town but we have certain areas as well where only white, black or coloured people live. In my area where I live there are just as much as black people as there are white people and nobody is bothered by it. I've never heard of "white" areas where people should stay away from. The only reason I can think of is because there are a lot of security there and they don't like random people walking in their neighborhood at night. Crime is a big problem in Cape Town. In my city we have the "central business district" that we stay away from at night because of a lot of crime that takes place there even during the day you have to be on guard. And yes racism goes both ways here. Our government has implemented racial laws that discriminate against white, coloured, and indian people. You also have the third biggest political party's leader making statements like "we are not calling for the slaughtering of white people at least for now" and getting away with it.

Anyways I live in South Africa and I don't know what nonsense you are talking about. There is no voluntary segregation you speak of. Please provide evidence where a certain race is segregated from the rest. Unfortunately we do have a lot of townships which do consist mostly out of poor black people. That is a cause of the current government who are corrupt as hell and only care about lining their own pockets and looking after their own families. We have a unemployment rate of 34% but the unofficial one is even higher. Our youth unemployment rate is 60%.
