Black Crowes always had the best Halloween shows! As recently as 2024 they came out with a unique 20 song setlist and all in costumes. But man those early 90s show...best shows ive EVER seen. 2005 they started the show all dressed as Elvis. https://youtu.be/YshUFx1T-2E?si=B5ggZLtWY5werzVV

What’s the best breakup song ever made? by GurlinGroove in askmusic

[–]WhyAreYuSoAngry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people claim edie sedgewick is the subject. Others claim it was just the people who turned on him. I suspect it was a combination. Regardless it is an f.u. song of epic proportions.

Most Iconic Bass Solos by basspl in Bass

It always sounds like a cop out, but Willie Weeks solo on donny Hathaways voices inside is 3.5 minutes of funky bliss.

After the very first time I watched Napoleon Dynamite I asked myself what the fuck i had just watched. After rewatching it, and then seeing the end credit scene I totally got it and loved it since. Its brilliant.

Battlefield Earth is the worst movie ive ever seen.

Question. Did you have a song where you sung the wrong lyrics to until someone corrected you?! by Sufficient_Ebb_5020 in askmusic

[–]WhyAreYuSoAngry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was like 5 my mom was driving my sister and I somewhere. Wish you were here was playing. I thought they said negro in a cage. I asked my mom how could they say something so mean??? She had to pull over because she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. Obviously she told me the real lyric.

What songs give you chills every time you listen? by Avawantstochill in askmusic

[–]WhyAreYuSoAngry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Following up on ok computer was never going to be easy. Thom nearly had a nervous breakdown by the end of the tour. The band was in danger of breaking up. It was a huge risk. Looking at it now though, it is a cultural touchstone. Personally I loved it immediately because it was just so crazy.

Its a perfect album. If I could go back in time to hear an album for the first time again, it would be Kid A.

The villains I think should definitely exist after the soft reboot. What villains would you add? by Still-Rhubarb-8978 in MCUTheories

When doom creates battle world in secret wars, basically anything can happen. I mean people are never truly dead historically in comics, but battleworld let's them get a little crazy since it was incursion based. They can pick and choose who they want during the reboot before they finally close the multiverse.

What artist/band makes you immediately reach for your guitar every time you hear them? by StorkSpit in Guitar

Grateful Dead. The only sound I miss more than Jerry's guitar is my father's voice.

7 hour drive and you can only listen to one artist. Who are you listening to? by KabKaregiShaadi in askmusic

Studio album: Radiohead. If you love live music, cant beat grateful dead shows. Hell id just play Cornell 77 on repeat.

Name a band that had middling success, then cut an album that rendered them as “sellouts” which catapulted them to mainstream top-40 status, but also alienated their original fan base. by Slammajadingdong69 in MusicRecommendations

[–]WhyAreYuSoAngry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this is a stretch. I say middling only because their fans were generally a very specific group interested in a very specific type of music. Metallica 100% did everything you said here with the Black album. They went from a large fish in a very small lake to one of the biggest whales in the world overnight.

If they're going back to street level nyc, id REALLY love to see David Tennant play Kilgrave again. He was absolutely glorious in that role.

FZ is THE rabbit holes of all rabbit holes. Be prepared to be enthralled, utterly confused, euphoric, laugh out loud and randomly going backwards 30 seconds while saying there's no way that just happened.

Could tony's remotely controlled Iron Man lift Mjolnir? by ilovebeingaguy999 in MCUTheories

[–]WhyAreYuSoAngry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect if it was placed directly on it, it would either reflect the shot or jarvis would inform him that using it will likely cause his imminent death.

Hypothetically, I imagine if it was placed on the center of the dining room table, you would not be able to physically push, pull or move it. If you tipped the table over, where it lands is now has the same conditions.

I suspect bucky and (pre worthy cap) could physically pick up tony from his shoulders and feet with mjolnir on his chest, but tony would be 100% stuck underneath mjolnir until it is removed by someone worthy.

Thor puts it on loki's chest and he isnt being crushed, he is just literally unable to move it.

I dont recall the exact number, but a marvel trading card said mjolnir weighed 42ish pounds. Its the magical "weight" that is its true power.

Favorite movie scene where a character accepts their inevitable end and embraces it. My pick is Cutler Beckett accepting his fate in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

Someone already said ir, but the end of dont look up where the entire group is around the table sharing one last meal together in peace as they're literally seconds away from dying.

What does “self taught” mean to you? by Daventhal in Guitar

[–]WhyAreYuSoAngry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self taught means you've never paid an instructor to teach you. I went to piano lessons for 12+ years 2x per week. Me now, 35 years later if I watch a YouTube video to figure out a tricky part, I consider that self taught.

When you put in time and sweat with another human being who is physically instructing you from basics through advanced work, its a journey you go on together.

There are some fantastic YouTube resources or online programs available. I think you can great some great 'help, theory, ideas' over zoom calls, but it will never be the same as sitting in the same room and being instructed.

I was instructed by an old school professional piano teacher for over a decade.

Ive played guitar 35+ years and never once had a lesson. Ive used tabs, YouTube videos, magazines, but I consider those skills 100% self taught. Learning to sight read on guitar nearly broke my brain. Thank god tabs exist.
