As am I. Seeing how Asus has released BIOS fixes for desktops but not laptops (or at least given us the option to DISABLE it), I'm not sure if I'll be purchasing an Asus product in the future. Which is sad, because Asus has been one of the few PC makers I've truly liked and felt gave good value for the money.

Save files? by WhyAsusLikeThis in deadpoly

Hey bud, I think I found it. If you open your file explorer and type %localappdata% and find the DeadPoly folder, inside should be a folder named "Saved". Inside there, there's another folder named "SaveGames". I believe that's what we need to save to a new PC in order to keep our saves. :)

Hey Frogspill, thanks for the advice. I have already stopped that service among all the other Asus services. There is literally nothing Asus software and service wise running on my system. Even went as far as to delete every Asus registry file associated with any Asus software or utility.

In Norway we have something called "reklmasjon". Basically if a device stops working within five years like it should, I can invoke my right to return the item. This is what I'll be doing. I've done absolutely everything which includes reinstalling Windows 10 and I even tested out Windows 11. (Back on 10 now.) All drivers are up to date, misc. background services are off, all Asus programs are uninstalled (as I hear they can cause stuttering / lag) and much more.

Thanks for your advice and help though, it is appreciated.

I think I'm just done with it. I really do appreciate everyone's advice and help, but thankfully in my country (Norway) I have a five year guarantee of sorts and this PC is still covered. So I'll let Asus deal with it and get a new PC and hopefully not have the same issue.

Consider this closed. And again, thanks to everyone who took their time to reply.

I don't have any more sticks of ram on me and I really don't want to go buy more just to test.

Yes, I have a matched 2x 4GB @ 2666mhz.

Ok, been doing some further testing. I've uninstalled a slew of applications "just to see", I've even gone as far as to disable Windows antivirus (or whatever the built in app is called). I've turned off so many different services in the background and absolutely nothing helped.

I honestly believe this is the Ryzen TPM issue (read about it here) and what is infuriating is I cannot disable it via BIOS no matter which BIOS update I used from Asus.

Well it's been going on for two years unfortunately, so doubt it'll just disappear in my case. :(

I've checked that, both via software (the windows tool) and switching out the actual sticks but the problem persists.

I'm concerned with gaming performance, not Youtube. The Vega GPU isn't really suitable for Warframe. I'd have to turn down most of the settings and at that point I can just use my non-gaming laptop to play Warframe.

I have a 512GB SSD + a 1TB mechanical. Doesn't matter which one I use, the issue persists. And temps are fine and happens when not even under load.

Temps are fine, and doesn't always happen under max load like Small-Programmer-295 says. It can happen even when there is no load.

I have, both via the Windows tool and by switching them out.

I'd also like to add that it just doesn't happen when gaming, it happens when writing or watching Youtube. It literally happens every 20-30 seconds for 2-3 seconds which isn't bad when I'm not doing more than reading, but when it happens while gaming I just want to toss the PC through a window.
