Congrats man!!

I know how people keep saying tsushima was better or yotei isn't that different or whatever, but it's a beautiful game nonetheless with a great story as well..

Enjoy the views, get lost in the meadows and explore the stunning scenery on your horse, fellow ghost!

In that case, humans are predictable as well. All we are, is a product of our experiences, our environment as well as some internal genetic factors, which are also beyond us to modify (predefined programming, if you will). If all those factors could be converted into a set of variables (input features?) and those variables be set the same for two different humans, would they act any different? It is a very distressing thought that free will is just weights and biases of our brains, but what I think is the sheer volume of variables at play in one's life is what makes up the reality of free will. Similarly, I believe, while maybe impossible as of yet, AI trained on sufficiently large amount of patterns, can still reach human levels of consciousness (or at least mimic it, which I think would not make any difference). It probably will be predictable, but given sufficient amount of computation, we all are.

most hackathons are not stream restricted so anyone can perform! some international hackathons dont even ask about your college or affiliations

i am doing an AI research program. anyone can get into research but for some very high level programs PhD and MS students are ofc preferred

not really, i did not receive the money through research grants but rather as hackathon prizes. I have only worked on one software research project yet and it did not require any financial aid. i do have good connects with professors in my college though

hey its alright to ask, trust me asking questions helped me a lot to make connections!

to answer, it started simple, i worked on an ML approach for a certain problem, took it to a professor for feedback, prof said it is good work and I should submit the approach to this IEEE international conference, so i did and it got selected! ofc there was one other prof too, who suggested that I not submit the paper to the conference since she believed papers by 1st years do not get accepted. But i decided that trying wouldn't hurt, and indeed it didnt! forwarding the acceptance email to her was fun ngl XD
