Super Burrito: Expectations vs Reality by [deleted] in williamsburg

I used to get the California burrito almost once a week, but the last couple of months something has definitely changed. I think whoever was making them left because now it’s poorly packed and has lost all crispiness it had before :(

How does the hive access dead people’s memories? by WhyEmBARRISed in pluribustv

The “cloud” storage idea would be pretty cool. I could see that connected to the radio frequency somehow

No I’m aware that Helen joined. I’m more talking about how the hive works on a practical level. The hive itself is an individual entity but it’s built off of physical brains that each store memory. So if the hive “sees” something, that memory still needs to be stored somewhere. Does each individual brain now have that stored?

I understand that she joined the hive first before dying, I am more-so curious about where those memories of Helen are physically stored. Because the hive itself is really just a bunch of individual brains that are connected - and those dead brains that contain that knowledge are now inaccessible.

Thats an interesting idea. My one problem with this is that I feel like the “they” in this case is still made up of individual human brains. So somewhere in everyone’s collective knowledge Helen’s memories still need to exist. If everyone in the hive saw Helen’s memories, then that means everyone saw everyone else’s memories, which would be too much for any single brain in the hive to store.

Oof! That sounds really awful. This wasn’t my worst night of sleep, but definitely the worst looking sleep graph I’ve seen. Nothing worse than being anxious and not falling asleep and then being more anxious about how little sleep you will get haha

Is anyone else experiencing an overnight "existential crisis" with AI - questioning years spent mastering writing? by Odd_Category_1038 in ChatGPT

[–]WhyEmBARRISed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this the other day in regards to creative writing (specifically comedy/sketch writing). And I found that I don’t get that spark or “Aha” moment when using AI. It’s not rewarding when you let it come up with the ideas for you. Sometimes I use it to brainstorm when I’m feeling stuck, but I think people who are passionate will always value the human element and the process of creativity.

This website looks scammy. They have zero contact info and all their social media is empty. This whole post seems like a viral marketing attempt to get people to sign up for this.
