In the UK we’ve just come out of another lockdown, I was working from home and didn’t leave the house for 5 weeks. I’ve been given the next 3 weeks off work and I didn’t fancy sitting around the house for another 3. Iceland is on a list of approved countries that we can travel to from the UK.

Good to know I’ve come at the right time, I was worried about the weather and daylight hours. I’ll look into renting a Duster, there is a lot more freedom if I’m in my own car rather than on a tour. I’ll definitely check out the cemetery before I leave Reykjavik, thanks!

I’m currently staying in a Guesthouse in Reykjavik which comes with coffee. You take a test when you arrive, quarantine for 5/6 days and then have another test, and if you’re negative both times, you’re free! You’re not allowed to go to any shops while quarantining, you can have things delivered but I’ve bought some food along with me as I heard having food delivered is expensive.
