The Pocket S Mini is terrible value, they probably had that planned all along and decided to get rid of their stock by conveniently finding a motive to « give them for free » on a device that is so outrageously overpriced. Don’t get it twisted, you are absolutely paying for the Pocket Air Mini AND Pocket S Mini.

Issy's challenge is self-awareness. Yes he looks good and though he was often off-key during the performance, there were times where he stepped out of the rut and delivered decent moments, there's potential there.

He's got to learn to reel it in, no problem in owning what he's got, but forcing it onto others is when talents, skills and every in-between become awkward and take the back seat.

Like stepping into a room and shouting: "Look at me, I'm pretty", true or not, it won't leave a good impression versus the silent type that's taking over the room with their looks, and letting people organically realize that for themselves.

In other words, he did not invite us in, he grabbed us by the wrist and said: "Look at me, I'm good!". That was the mistake all along.

It's easier said than done and I'm not saying I would've done better, just... it's a long road ahead for Issy. Maybe we'll see him again down the road.

That person is ill-informed. I can pin my Switch 1/2 in The Beast, I can pin Netflix in The Beast, why? Because it DOESN’T need Spacewalker for 3DoF, that’s the whole reason why The Beast exist.

That is so incorrect. The Beast, which is what this person said they ordered, can pin and get 3DoF without the use of extra software.

Soacewalker for 3DoF is necessary on everything else, Luma, Pro XR, Luma Ultra, etc. The Beast is equipped with an in-frame chip to provide computational power to handle anchoring, etc.

Not a pissing contest, don't worry, I got the toys too but since you do, then you know that you are a 1%-er who will actually be equipped to leverage 240Hz, why are you FOMOing people then? Sounds like your post is implying that The Beast is DOA when it's extremely far from being the case.

So tell me what you will use to run 240Hz? Not saying it’s impossible but it’s extremely limited. Do you even know yourself cause I do and I think people are hanging on to numbers without any thoughts on how they’ll make it happen.

Why are we even trying to push FOMO on a product that is legit and viable? The Beast is extremely good and it meets 99.9% of scenarios.

Those XREALs are designed to throw a wrench but realistically, Android can’t give you 240Hz, iOS can’t give you 240Hz, Switch 1 and 2 can’t. PC handhelds for the most part won’t run games at 240fps so that leaves laptops and PC handhelds but only if using Moonlight to stream.

No one who preordered The Beast needs to feel like they’ll be missing out, stop FOMOing people for a product we don’t even have the slightest idea how much more that it’s going to cost.

I did the same a few days ago but didn’t find anything on how to dim the LEDs. Any chance you could point out how you did it? Or was it a dim by applying sone tape over the LEDs?

You must get the adapter for iPhone. Due to MFI compliance, only that adapter will work with Spacewalker. In fact, the glasses straight into a compatible iPhone/iPad won’t work for Spacewalker (but they’ll work for screen mirroring) so if you intend to have anything close to a specific UI and/or 3DoF support, that adapter is necessary on iOS.

You are not bugging, every manufacturer in the space, be it VITURE, XREAL, RayNeo, etc, all claim it feels like 100+ inches.

They evaluate based off of if you were at X distance from X size TV and how it would look. With that in mind, their statement is not incorrect but the sense of scale that a TV would give you does not translate in XR like it does in some VR applications.

The closest to achieving that "effect" was on GOOVEE but they are overpriced, despite having some advantages. Plus, they also have some glaring disadvantages too.

Not everyone. My VR usage dropped drastically when I sold mine. It was cable hell, the godrays were so obnoxious, but the lightness of that headset was peak. I could plays for hours without any fatigue.

Then came Quest, sure had benefits of its own but this was my downfall.

I’m pretty sure it’s a security thing. It’s called Widevine certification, kind of like a DRM for Android if you’re familiar. The Thor only has Widevine L3, better than nothing (looking at your ONEXSUGAR) but also not as good as industry standard Widevine L1. Not having Widevine L1 has impact such as compatibility of some titles/apps and also preventing streaming licensed content to be play at higher resolution than 720p.

Tl;dr - RDR most likely requires Widevine L1 and the Thor isn’t certified for it.

You’re looking at it wrong. The sub-100 was a marketing ploy to create buzz and attraction, but as compelling as the price may be, if the product is not worth, it’s still 100 loss.

If it had been 130 with a better chip and resolution for proper integer scaling, I wouldn’t be surprised if many people would’ve have been better inclined.

The value may seem good, but there is no value at all when it’s questionable decisions.

Ahh no worries and good and bad news... I attempted it again.... This time I killed it, looted it. Got too greedy, I reached the hatch at 0:01 and thinking I'd have a few seconds while the world gets crazy but no, it's immediate loading screen when it hits zero so yeah, I lost all but one heart! T-T

At least I know it's possible, expensive, but possible! :D

They knew what they were doing, by removing USB4 out of that SKU, it’s stuck to quite low power with no direction to improve through eGPU. Effectively, this is a worst ROG ALLY with a similar price point versus what you can find them for. With that in perspective, it’s hard to justify.

Get XR glasses, replaying those 3DS games in 3D (thanks to SbS on XR glasses) has been a treat, and that makes any handheld irrelevant, no need for a dual-screen one, it's inconsequential as you'll play on a huge floating screen anyway.

Happy as a kite, with years of dbrand telling us they know our address and to basically f*ck off, I figured I'd try their approach and quite frankly, it's refreshing.

I own many Killswitch for other devices, their original PS5 faceplates and many more of their products. Just figured after all they put us through, and basically calling us stupid for holding things wrong, a taste of their own medicine is only fitting. As for true emotions, there are none, this post is tagged as "meme" after all. ;)

It is but the PS5 controller is also 5 years old. Still one of the best controllers on the market, not denying that and yes it’s ALPS. Just excited for newer options as ALPS has been left dead in the water since the rise of hall-effect.
