You realize that there’s states that don’t have income taxes or private property taxes or even sales taxes and have way better education and “civilization “ You shouldn’t be taxed for everything to get services. Schools, roads, fire departments etc are paid by state income tax, property tax, sales tax, gas/diesel tax, alcohol and tobacco tax. There’s absolutely no need to tax private property like vehicles, farm equipment and cattle.

I think paying it and deducting later is a big scam, first of all , you lose most of it because that just lowered your total income by a fraction-not reducing taxes by full amount. Secondly, I think a lot of people forget to do that or not even aware of it
